I remember earning 100gp from goblins, I was so excited! few weeks later, I went to stronghold, got 1k from the box, I was literally jumping up and down, my parents thought I needed help :'D good ol' days.

All we wanted were the good old days, and Jagex took that way from us, our right to that, but those memories will never leave.
I started rs in 04 when I was like 10 and I wasn't very handy with pcs back then so I didn't know about printscreening or I probably didnt care to save some memories because honestly I didn't really expect this game to turn into what we have today.... Now I wish I could relive the noob moments because they are the best. No matter how many new accs you make just to relive being a noob. It just isnt the same. F2p is a dead wasteland now because over 75% of players are botters. membs is hanging on.

on the 4th of april 2011, a team of people are releasing their version of the old runescape when the graphics were bad and the tutorial island was there with the newbie melody! you play online on a webclient and the website is just like runescape's was in 2007 thanks to the amazing website designer! there are already 300+ players signed up for the alpha and the forums are FULL of people!

I've noticed that too, i dont think what made rs completely amazing back then was wild/free trade. For me, it was more about hanging with friends, and graphics even though they weren't great, people still enjoyed them. Even with wild/free trade, its just not the same :\
@dragonsonrs32 what made rs so amazing was: no higher weps than whips, d axes and dragon scims, no shit minigames, not hd graphics that destroys the fun and place in boring graphics instead of fun, free trade and stake was good enough, i just want to say that all new shit that is overpowered and unrealistic to rs back in 2006 is just making this game to shit. i played from 2006 to 2008, loved the game but then after 2008 i quit.

If we would play Runescape for the graphix we would have quit long ago! 2007 was the best year to scape, Sad that's all just memories.. I mean, Tutorial island, The wilderness, And just the feeling of playing the game. Just such a great game it was back then.. And dragon claws and hand cannons doesn't really make me think the game is more enjoyable. The only thing that i like about jagex updates now is the quests.

on the 4th of april 2011, a team of people are releasing their version of the old runescape when the graphics were bad and the tutorial island was there with the newbie melody! you play online on a webclient and the website is just like runescape's was in 2007 thanks to the amazing website designer! there are already 300+ players signed up for the alpha and the forums are FULL of people!

I've noticed that too, i dont think what made rs completely amazing back then was wild/free trade. For me, it was more about hanging with friends, and graphics even though they weren't great, people still enjoyed them. Even with wild/free trade, its just not the same :\

@dragonsonrs32 what made rs so amazing was: no higher weps than whips, d axes and dragon scims, no shit minigames, not hd graphics that destroys the fun and place in boring graphics instead of fun, free trade and stake was good enough, i just want to say that all new shit that is overpowered and unrealistic to rs back in 2006 is just making this game to shit. i played from 2006 to 2008, loved the game but then after 2008 i quit.

2. because pking used to have a point and it was fun even if you lost.
3. people used to be able to interact with eachother and now its every man for themselfs.

Reasons I miss old RuneScape:
-Logging in an seeing the cheesey login background not a "lobby"
-All the people saying "bsale!" and interacting with one another not the GE
-Thinking somethig costing 50k is expensive not 5m
-Interaction with nice players not the immature jerks that play now
-And most of all I miss OLD RUNESCAPE! Not the so called enhanced RS2 now...

If we would play Runescape for the graphix we would have quit long ago! 2007 was the best year to scape, Sad that's all just memories.. I mean, Tutorial island, The wilderness, And just the feeling of playing the game. Just such a great game it was back then.. And dragon claws and hand cannons doesn't really make me think the game is more enjoyable. The only thing that i like about jagex updates now is the quests.
