I don't think the choreography was "bad", I think it's clear that she was going for a playful, quirky kind of dance. Granted, it was a little simplistic, and I think it could have been a lot better if she'd developed more of her ideas, but I wouldn't call it "bad". I've seen bad! =P
The judging was really random, Ireland gave this dance an 8 and then gave the soloists of India (which were higher on a technical level) an 8 also. They should have let ppl choose, call in and choose which ones you liked. I think the judging on this show was shit.
i was so surprised to see her out. i mean come on, the music, her expression, her tiny quirky moves - everything suggests that this dance is supposed to be something fairytale-ish, and the girl is supposed to doll-like. I think she interpreted the idea very well. She doesn't dance robotically unconsciously, she purposely do so.
i really hoped to see what she would perform next. but now she's out there's no chance... such a degraded competition of dance.
I agree. There was definitely a quirky, silliness to her dance. Looking at it now, it seems a bit more complex than the Russian ballerina's performance. Indeed, there seemed to be some ballet along with some more expressive and personal movements. Still, maybe it was too "artistic" for the judges. here weren't high jumps or precise, PRECISE movements like with the ballerina. Plus, I have to admit, she looks pretty, well, beautiful ;). Sad to have seen Julia go.
It may have had more variety in moves for sure, but the balllerina's solo was incredibly difficult. There are probably only a handfull of dancers who can do that line of pirrouttes that had doubles in it at the end of her Kitri variation. Look up Svetlana Zakharova Kiri (she is regarded as one of the worlds best) and you will see she only does singles in that line of travelling pirroutes.

I thought it was cute
She was like a little doll come to life!
Or a puppet
(:
The style of the dance really entertains me. Too bad she didn't make it very far ):

I think she is a great dancer, but the coreography is really... uuuhmm, it isn't that beautiful. :D ;)

I think so too. There was just something weird and untasteful about it. Maybe she should've done like a doll theme that would've been cool

I know!!! You can tell that she can dance, but the choreography was just bad! I feel for her.

i totally agree. she's obviously a great dancer and it sucks that the judges didn't get the dance. thought they were suppose to be professionals??
