I have a 05 Ram SRT -10 quadcab,5400 pounds 505ci V-10,4 speed auto,bone stock,stock computer,only mod took the cats out and added traction bars, 12.98 1/4 and 4.8 0-60 with tire spin on a 68degree night.

The old Chev is about 3700-4000 lbs.

I had a 77 Dodge 150 with a built 318 that ran 12.40's

@TheEdrooney agreed but i was just comparing a stock gm super car motor in that truck compared to the srt10. a stroked 400 small block would scream but the ls motors are just unbelievable. u can build a stock bottom end ls2 6.0 with cam,afr or trick flow heads and a carb and make as much if not more power then the stroked small block with better fuel mpg. you cant lose with either combo just depends on what u wanna do.

@BLACKLACDTS I really like the LQ4 and LQ9 motors out of the newer chevy trucks. Same design as the LS motors but with a cast iron block that is way stronger and can handle upwards of 1600hp and costs under $1k. It weighs 80lbs more but for the xtra strength and value its worth it. Your rite though, those LS motors scream. And now you can buy an MSD box so you can run a carburetor but still retain the stock coil packs, now thats cool!
