KFC just doesn't roll off the tongue nicely as a word, & would considerably define it as something other than an acronym. Relatively speaking, it makes no difference to me. The English language has been slaughtered by modern society, & it would save effort to give an example when you make your first comment.
If you can eat it, why throw away the old SCOBY? Cut it up and use it in a meal.
