its down to the fitters is the bottom line not soo much the windows as i know this as i have a family member been in the trade for nearly 10 years of these big double glazing companies.
Save the Council jobs that we are due to lose, by Shutting down FENSA, FENSA cannot enforce building regs, that is why Bal, has a job like this, Building controls are the only ones to enforce the Laws and Health & Safety, by shutting down FENSA this work will go back to Building Control, and they are the only ones who can enforce the Laws, DONT use FENSA registered companies, use building Controls, don't put your selves and your Families at Risk, By using a FENSA registered company
Having worked in double glazing for many years for different companies, my best advice is to always use a local firm that has been recommended. They rely on their reputation to keep in business, not on national advertising campaigns or dubious sales tactics. They will be the most likely to rectify faults as they rely on keeping a good name locally & you know where to find them if you do have any problems. Expertise of fitters is even more important than quality of product.
Bal, Anglian Employees have been posting some very disturbing comments on my Videos, very rude, and nasty, and very Personal, also using my name, ( Anglian windows Your Solicitors have refused to remove, all Convicted criminals from their Company, you have ignored my repeated pleas, for the Abuse to STOP, and the Banks who are financing AHi Like Lloyds TSB, Barclays, Bank of Scotland, and Bank of America, this abuse has to stop, Trading Standards have been informed, Stop this abuse, since 2005.
Fensa only inspect less than 1% of the installation , none are done by Building control office. The installation is certifed on line so any one can say its been inspected and meets building regulation??? They can be any one ,and looking at the video it looks like no one inspected any thing . FENSA are not interested in investing this FRAUD .
Any one who has double glazing installed should have it inspected by the Local Building Control office.
With them you know you are dealing with INDEPENDENT & PROFESSIONAL person who has the knowledge & training & experience to do the work and is paid by the tax payer & accountable to them.
I work for SafeStyle UK Another NationWide Double Glazing Firm. Majority of the windows we replace are 1st generation Anglian Windows. When FENSA came into place for glazing standards. Nation wide companys panic as BODGEY fitters they knew would need tranning or even laid off. I reccomend SafeStyle UK Windows And Doors to anyone as we on speacilse in Upvc WINDOWS AND DOORS. So when it comes to replacing them shabby windows do your research.
Complaining to FENSA or GGF is a waste of time the complaint just past to the company who just drag there feet and avoid doing anything . If you have any complaint go to your LOCAL BUILDING CONTROL OFFICE , they can get the problem sorted .
so true anglian have a crapp product that's why....no stell re-inforcement, the sealed units always go, they pitch a b-rated and sell you a d or e rated, they really are a shoddy outfit.
Why is is that Anglian are twice the size of Everest then? Do Everest sell a double weather sealed window? Do they have metal security features and can Everest beat Anglian prices?
FENSA and the GGF refused to investigate these incidents, how many homes in the last 4 years since they refused to comply with building regs, how many homes have AHI done, how many homes have been damaged, FENSA won't tell me how many complaints have been made, they wont investigate, so how many lives are in danger, how many homes are affected and how long doe's it take for these problems to rear their ugly heads, AHI will deny deny deny deny deny Ignore Ignore ignore you the customer
Any one who has had Anglian Windows or Anglian Home Improvement, install windows & conservatories should get indepent expert surveys carried out before they discover serious
problems.Building Control officer from the local council can do that for you with no cost and save you a lot of grief and endless phone calls to Anglian who will only put you on permanet hold. They can force Anglian to come round and fix the problem quicker than you can dail Anglian windows.
I have got on to my MEP MP, and housing Minister, and the H&S Executive, Consumer Direct, Watch Dog, the CIB for investigation into AHI employees using bogus identities and sending out bogus debt collectors to peoples homes who don't even owe them money, Full investigation into this Company Putting Peoples lives in danger, by refusing to comply with building regs, investigation into FENSA for allowing companies like AHI get away with putting lives in Danger, by not making it a priority
with a bit of luck Building Control should be able to prosecute this Company, Building control wanted to prosecute them, but i was too late to inform, the law is now 2 years so with luck you will be in time. nice to hear you informed B.C. This company keeps doing a runner on bays like this,, they put in writing they will repair, but is only a smoke screen they use, i am still waiting 4 years on. GET THEM ON WATCH DOG.
Building control says it only be done if it done in the 1st 12 month. All they can do is infrom FENSA who are not really interested.
So any body who has had Anglian install double glazing should have their windows check for any fixing .If there are none then they should inform Building controlin their local council as they will have the same problem as me Anglian will just walk away and say its not their problem.
Any chance of giving me some information on your windows, Balventary, i want to approach the office of fair Trading, this company must stop doing this to it's Customers they are wrecking peoples lives and putting lives in Danger, let me know if your in the Manchester Area, i will let Building Control know what they have don to you, if they have not put in supporting plates let me know as soon as possible, before someone gets killed.
like most people i suspect many years, Not putting in spreader plates is a big issue with AHI, even if you have it in writing they will put them in, they will say things like building regulations don't apply, only FENSA regs APPLY, if you have heard this one from them, RECORD IT, you will even be very lucky if FENSA pick it up for you, as the Finance Director AHI , is also a director in the GGF, also in the same building, as FENSA, fensa would not deal with me until i sent them a recording.
I have read some more on your complaint, Just like in my case, It appears AHI don't apply building regs, Building control in Manchester have agreed with me, about 15months ago, B.C also wrote to AHI and FENSA and asked them to review their Training, as it seems AHI, don't apply to Building regs, look on my vid, AHI Building regs don't apply, on this recording, and many times that state, building regs don't apply to my Installation, WHAT PLANET IS THIS Company from, all the pain they cause.
That is the work of cowboys, Did you know Anglian are members of the Trust Mark Scheme, they will deal with your case, and try and put a stop to this kind of shaddy work.
My advise to any body thinking of have double glazing by Anglian is to be extremely cautious. They get windows under sized and then hide it with wide plastic strips .If they make it over size they trim all the edge off so there is no strenght left in the window frame and hide it behind form and silicone so you cannot see the damage they have done.
I have been reading your case/ Report on the windows on the double glazing Guy website, what an absolute disgrace, the office is not the Stockport one. do you know my case is as bad as yours Extensive damage, to my home, i really mean it, record everything, i have still got no where after 4 years but it's crunch time now, and i am putting videos on utube now. 3 times they have put a bay in incorrectly, extensive damage through out my home, the list goes on and on. wish you luck fella.
Reason i give you this advice will become very clear, to you when you start having to deal with them, make sure you keep copies of everything, as in my experience you may just see and hear some of the most bizarre stuff, imaginable.
I am interested in your clip, any chance of explaining it for us, so we have some idea of length of time, and the Anglian office
who did the fit for you, and how many windows.
to me it looks shocking, and in AHIs true style that appears to be the best a customer is likely to expect, you would not believe what i have had to deal with, good idea about the film, my advice to you, get a good quality voice recorder and camera setup and record everything, for evidence.
thats total bollocks thats never a new install

Any one thinking of having double galzing installed should ask the following questions.

2 What is the maximium gap on all four side betwen brick wall and windows frame.
3 Who signs off on the installation are they qualified/ trained/experienced.
