when using this cable. do you have to turn off the pc power sullpy by the switch when the xbox turns off ? of does the xbox turn off the pc power supply into standby when you turn the xbox off ?
@petegrimsby same goes as when its plugged into your pc, coz this uses an atx connector the psu thinks its connected to the computer so when you hit that on switch on the xbox the psu turns on
My Xbox 360 brick gave LED indicate Red Light today, the xbox 360 i got was power by 150 watt, and i got a pc power supply for 400 watt..If i hook it on with this PSU Energyzer connector for my 400 watt power supply on the xbox 360, will the extra power fry the motherboard after long hours of gaming???
@ssjboys ur xbox will only use what it needs its the same if you connect a 1000w to a pc your pc will only use what it needs, its not having enuf power that frys ur xbox coz ur xbox has to work harder

Hey what pc power supply do you got?How many watts do you recomend to power the xbox 360 and the xbox 360 fan.Cus i shorted my 360s fan power while modding it by mistake :)
Hey im geting it 2. But the PSU im geting gives out +12v@25a +5v@36 580w. Im safe?! Also do you still use it.. I hear alot of bad of reviews.. I think it just people using the wrong PSU.
Hey dude, not that interested in this mod, but I thought maybe you'd know the answer. Basically I have a UK 360, but I'm in Europe with no adapter plug.
I was wondering if I could take a standard PSU power cable and cut out a circle so it fits into the 360 brick? They look the same, but I have no way of knowing for certain.
sweet!! glad i found ure vid man, im modding my 360 and putting the whole mobo in a pc tower, was gunna av to cut an solder to the pc power supply, i didnt know of the PSU Energyzer, till now...guna get that and make the job a heap easier tkx mikey
their is NOTHING home made about this, he bought an adapter, and connected it to a power box with a few different sets of wire harnesses...nothing about this video is worthy of a view, all stuff that can be bought at walmart or hardware store..which is more expensive than just buying a brick for 15$ on ebay...fail video
Ok, this merely a demonstration of the Psu Energyzer for Xbox 360 product. Why do you have 'home made' listed in the title? I was expecting to see an actual 'home made' power supply being hooked up to a 360, as the title suggests. I guess it's a good advertisement of the Psu Energyzer though...
2:53 of crap!!! Jerky camera motions combined with unfocused shots of what I believe is the carpet or maybe his leg - who knows - It appears he purchased an adapter that plugs into a Computer Power Supply and has a Xbox plug/ adapter built in. There's NOTHING home made as far as I am concurned. The correct Title of this video should read "Xbox 360 Power Supply ADAPTER - use an ATX computer power supply to power an Xbox 360"
On the PSU does it should literally says or states that it has more than 16 A on the +12 on the sticker? And on your vids what do you mean you have 25 A? Is that what it says on your +12???
Could i use my laptop as the instead of my pc power source???

what most of you dont know is that alot of the time the 20+4 pin atx cable
is running on its own rail if its a cheaper older multi rail powersupply, and that cna easily cause the psu or xbox to die if it says 10 + 15 amps
frgyht 1 year ago
My power supply says , that it has +5V: 24A and 12V1: 10A / 12V2: 15A.
Now, is this 25A at 12V altogether or still only 10A??

not homemade, so title fail.
and its not exactly quieter due to the fan
and thats not veery complicated
SxEFallenAngel 2 years ago
how is it quieter? The pc power supply has a fan and the original 360 on doesn't (making it silent).

@brandon20904 it does have a fan, it's just a 5v 80mm fan :P so it's silent.

when you dont have the original psu,
you can buy this for 15 bux and save money.
