  • Could i use my laptop as the instead of my pc power source???

  • when using this cable. do you have to turn off the pc power sullpy by the switch when the xbox turns off ? of does the xbox turn off the pc power supply into standby when you turn the xbox off ?

  • @petegrimsby same goes as when its plugged into your pc, coz this uses an atx connector the psu thinks its connected to the computer so when you hit that on switch on the xbox the psu turns on

  • this is the best way to fry up you xbox's GPand CPU i have worked on xbox's that have got RROD from people doing this

    DONT DOIT.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • can i buy a psu energyzer in a store????

  • My Xbox 360 brick gave LED indicate Red Light today, the xbox 360 i got was power by 150 watt, and i got a pc power supply for 400 watt..If i hook it on with this PSU Energyzer connector for my 400 watt power supply on the xbox 360, will the extra power fry the motherboard after long hours of gaming???

  • @ssjboys ur xbox will only use what it needs its the same if you connect a 1000w to a pc your pc will only use what it needs, its not having enuf power that frys ur xbox coz ur xbox has to work harder

  • I lol'd at the sigh before you plugged it into the wall. xD

  • THIS IS BULLSHIT I wanted to learn how to wire it not how to plug in a fucking wire

  • @proximxr Lol, I know how. :P

  • Hey im geting it 2. But the PSU im geting gives out +12v@25a +5v@36 580w. Im safe?! Also do you still use it.. I hear alot of bad of reviews.. I think it just people using the wrong PSU.

  • and how is this home made? you bought two things from a store...

  • This is alright but i like the homemade power supply i made just with basic household items very inexpensive and it works check out my vid.

  • Hey dude, not that interested in this mod, but I thought maybe you'd know the answer. Basically I have a UK 360, but I'm in Europe with no adapter plug.

I was wondering if I could take a standard PSU power cable and cut out a circle so it fits into the 360 brick? They look the same, but I have no way of knowing for certain.

    Cheers.

  • what most of you dont know is that alot of the time the 20+4 pin atx cable

is running on its own rail if its a cheaper older multi rail powersupply, and that cna easily cause the psu or xbox to die if it says 10 + 15 amps

  • My power supply says , that it has +5V: 24A and 12V1: 10A / 12V2: 15A.

Now, is this 25A at 12V altogether or still only 10A??

  • @dkhannjuck your good!

  • Can I use a 300w supply?

  • @ALLFYE yes

  • @gagab1 Swweeeet. Thanks!

  • sweet!! glad i found ure vid man, im modding my 360 and putting the whole mobo in a pc tower, was gunna av to cut an solder to the pc power supply, i didnt know of the PSU Energyzer, till now...guna get that and make the job a heap easier tkx mikey

  • will a 400w atx be alright :L?

  • their is NOTHING home made about this, he bought an adapter, and connected it to a power box with a few different sets of wire harnesses...nothing about this video is worthy of a view, all stuff that can be bought at walmart or hardware store..which is more expensive than just buying a brick for 15$ on ebay...fail video

  • not homemade, so title fail.

and its not exactly quieter due to the fan

    and thats not veery complicated

  • how is it quieter? The pc power supply has a fan and the original 360 on doesn't (making it silent).

  • @brandon20904 The 360 power brick has a fan.

  • @brandon20904 The Xbox power supply has a fan!

  • @brandon20904 it does have a fan, it's just a 5v 80mm fan :P so it's silent.

  • Ok, this merely a demonstration of the Psu Energyzer for Xbox 360 product. Why do you have 'home made' listed in the title? I was expecting to see an actual 'home made' power supply being hooked up to a 360, as the title suggests. I guess it's a good advertisement of the Psu Energyzer though...

  • can I use my 350 watt psu or is that too strong?

  • @Halosniper128 Please read the info added to this video, it will provide enough information for your question.

  • You can use much stronger and it will NOT die

  • can it be used on an original xbox?

  • NOOO!!

  • ok.i answered my own question yesterday, but forgot to remove this comment cause i couldnt find the video

  • hey where could i get this if i wanted to buy one

  • Hey, um, would there be a particular power supply you'd recommend for this?

  • 250watts

  • 2:53 of crap!!! Jerky camera motions combined with unfocused shots of what I believe is the carpet or maybe his leg - who knows - It appears he purchased an adapter that plugs into a Computer Power Supply and has a Xbox plug/ adapter built in. There's NOTHING home made as far as I am concurned. The correct Title of this video should read "Xbox 360 Power Supply ADAPTER - use an ATX computer power supply to power an Xbox 360"

  • could i cut off the rest of the wires that are not used?

  • where do i get the power supply?

  • thats reallllly safe

  • No' just on the website i have show!

  • Can i use a 200 watt

  • On the PSU does it should literally says or states that it has more than 16 A on the +12 on the sticker? And on your vids what do you mean you have 25 A? Is that what it says on your +12???

  • and u used a 250w psu? i have 2 spare 250 psu's and a spare 350. U havent had any problems with 250?

  • as long as theres enough amperage you should be fine

my xbox power supply has 16.5 on 12 volt and 1 on 5

just make sure you have atleast that much

  • why does the title say vr english? someone on my friends list is called vr english :o

  • I have a french version of this video

  • whats the advantage of this over the normal xbox power supply?

  • when you dont have the original psu,

you can buy this for 15 bux and save money.

  • Or you can go to eBay and buy an OEM power brick for $2-$10 in auction.

  • if you lucky?

  • will a 300W 20+4 Pin SATA ATX PSU work??message me back please

  • Dude did you Plug and Play without cutting wires??

  • yeah plug and play

  • please check my video after 6 month i use the psu

  • mine melted after like a week but I fixed it and now it works perfectly and has been for like 2 months. Thanks for this video

  • Thx i appreciate to know my video is helpful for you!!!

  • me after 6 month its still works too.

Soon i will make an other vids, for PSU.

    THX FOR YOUR COMMENTS ^^

  • I just got mine off of amazon about 3 weeks ago and it still works. I use a Dynex ATX 400 watt.

  • where did u get your psu energyzer

  • if i use my computers power supply will it work

  • yes!!! Its a computer power supply i use !

  • Will it work if I use a 650 watt PSU or is that too much?

  • i dont know but you can try.

  • you can it wont hurt anything cuz the xbox will only draw as much wattage as it needs the "extra" just wont be used

  • Does it ever over heat and then turn off and give red lights?

  • no !!! it's make 4month i use this
