Bret was pretty much a MMA wrestler. Was from a Submission Wrestling background. Something many of todays wrestlers can't say.

Wow I think this is the first late wcw match where someone from both sides of the nWo didn't interfere. This was actually pretty lame compared to what tna puts on today. Of course they do this with the knockouts too but who doesn't love seein a women whoop some ass

it seems everyone commenting here is mad or angry because everyone was expecting a real scientific match between two of the greatest ever testing their skills against the other, obviously they weren't gonna have a clean match when there was a lot of bad blood between the two according to the storyline, because Bret supposedly wanted to team with Sting to take out Hogan when in reality Hogan and Bret were in cahoots all along to take out their mutual WCW/Wolfpac enemies

This is why WCW went under. Two very good workers who could have had an amazing 10 minute match. Instead, they have them fight in the back to no finish. Did you hear the fans booing in the end? Why? Their main event was no match at all. You advertise Sting vs Bret Hart and you get basically a meaningless fight.

@batmanjwo Actually I agree. I heard the boos at the end as both Sting and Bret were limping away. It's another case of bait and switch on the part of WCW. Fans wanted to see two of the greatest technical wrestlers fight it out in a wrestling match...not a Street Fight. I don't blame the fans for being pissed.

I remember when Bret Hart signed with WCW. I immediately knew the two would fight each other, considering they had the same submission move. I am still bitter about Bret Hart's time in the WCW however. It's as if they didn't know how to put him in the main existing storylines with the NWO, Sting and Goldberg.
