Amen brother. Especially about the crazy doesn't make you trans, transness makes you crazy, bit. Failure to treat a stressful condition causes neurotic coping.
Oh man, I hate making double posts, but I really wanted to talk about being trans and also having eating disorders. I never realized how many of us have them. I've battled anorexia and ED's for years because I wanted to make my periods and breasts go away. I had no idea that other trans people went through something similar! I still struggle with it, and it's never really gone away, although I am trying.
I think it's stupid that people say you have to "cut your hair" to be trans. My boyfriend is a bioguy and he has long hair all the way down to his back. There are plenty of bioguys who wear makeup and even wear girlish clothes. It doesn't mean they're girls. Uhg, so annoying. Anyway, thanks for these videos. You do a great service to all of us in this situation!
where'd ya go?? Need more vlogs of you!! you are so much like me only in reverse....I'm a male to female and people only see me as male even though I'm still a girl inside...you're so awesome..just wanted you to know...oxox
Ah this video. I remember when you posted but then I forgot to comment on it :( So I will do it now. How ever this is an amazing video and I agree with you´the the fullest no one can say who is trans or not or diagnose any one exept you I am sick over the fact that so many people think they can do that. Thank you for the video
loved the effect unintentional i can imagine of yozu sitting on the floor ,not on a huge comfortable couch....the whole you and the whole video are amazing!
Oooh yeah. I'm *really* looking forward to the comments I'm sure I'll be getting from these self-proclaimed 'experts'. At least you know that they're wrong and know who you are. You rock ^_^
I'm MTF but what you say is so right for all of us. I've been sending this to my friends to watch. Yeah you only represent yourself but you really helped me pull together some of my own thoughts on all this. I wish I could express better how much I appreciate this video. It's like.. finally.. someone who has thought about these things like I have.
I was creeped away from doctors because the one I saw was of the Dr. John Money entourage. FTR, they believe that genders are fully interchangeable as long as stereotypes are policed with an Iron fist. AFA the self-appointed 'authorities' on the matter..well you've said it far better than I ever could. I get too rude, resulting in banishment.
It's sad that you have to explain all this - those with a brain would have understood it without you having to do a 1x1=1 type explanation about it. On a different note, you look like one of the long lost Hanson brothers in this vid!:D
*eaks and hides, holding a thumbs up behind his bunker* Yey Sam! Chewin' 'em out! ... it occurs to me I should get a stronger backbone, so's I can better demand people quit de-legitimizing my identifications, too. O.o; Its offensive that people think someone is so simple that one dysfunction can be the cause of or discredit another. I'd like to think I'm more sophisticated than that <.<; & you too.
Eating disorders, I think, are actually pretty comon in the trans comunity. I have been fighting EDNOS for 6 years.
A lot of people say that there is no one way to be trans. Everything is a spectrum, and that includes transsexualism. I imagine that most people seem to forget that there is a browd spectrum of cisgendered people... women whom are masculine in some things, men whom are feminine in some things. Trans people are no acception to this rule.
I totally agree, transmen seem to be all the same... There is many sort of men, ftm transgenders in general seem to identify as the same man with short hair who like sports...
Ps: My english isn't very good, i'm a french long haired ftm
I totally hear you on this. Have you seen my latest video about gender identity? My lecturer said I was not male because I am too sensitive. I complained about him to another lecturer and her reponse was "What gives him the right to say that to you?". I am having to find a way to be happy about myself when I just found out that bio-guys don't see me as a man. I now don't identify with them. Living as female I could do what I want and it was fine, as a man I am a non-conformist.
Very interresante discussion, and you speak well, we must continue to make videos
