FGTH was a remarkable spectacle, enveloped in the presentation of commericalism, but actually a rather subversive construct influenced through Trevor Horn's reading of Situationism.
FGTH was presented to America as a product, disposable pop hyped by commercialism. Then this product was disposed of like any good trash. Truth was FGTH had some mean streaks of talent and originality. To me FGTH was an art project so profound it resembled a shooting star in a most immaculate night sky , only to be gone in a flash. Part shame the star had to fall, but privileged to stand a witness
Does anyone remember the Australian Rules Football that used to be on channel 4 in the late 80's/ early 90's. I'm sure the theme music was a frankie remix of some sort. sounded like a cross between War and Pleasuredome, anyone know??
Not sad mate, nice to hear from another frankie anorake. It wasn't two tribes carnage mix though, could well have been for American football coverage but this was defo from the Ozi Rules program that used to be shown on Sunday mornings.
I said WAR! huh What is it good for?

Di you all catch Frankie's version of War in the movie Toys, with Robin Williams? I was extremely pleased to hear it way back when.

Holly Johnson to me is so underrated as an incredible male vocalist.

Completely agree. Music misses singers like him.
And he has style and class.
