No, actually Americans are often disliked because of 1. We are jealous of your high standard of living, but more because 2. Americans come across as arrogent, and 3. Americans use many times more power per person and pollute much more than any other people in the entire world. Many Chinese people still do not use electricity to power their homes, and it isn't fair that both India and China's economies cannot grow because they are hindered by Americans' insatiable need for oil and fossil fuels. You probably know that even though Americans make up 5% of the entire population of Earth, Americans use more than 1/4 of all power.

That equals the most pollution created by each citizen. That's one reason Americans are attacked the most, and the fact the George W. Bush is totally oblivious. Developing countries don't use nearly the amount of power that America uses, and their small need for energy is still enough that they do not need so much oil/fossil fuels and they don't pollute as much.

As soon as their energy needs reach the point of Americans, they will realize (especially countries like India and China), that they cannot continue using that much power in this way without affecting some part of their people's lives
