@Browncurse Thats because the monsters the Dinozords were fighting were too powerful for them, the dinozords were ultimately destroyed and as a result the salvageable parts were upgraded to the more powerful Thunderzords.
One thing I never got- was it the same stuntman in the Daizyujin suit with his arm in a different place, or was it a new one-armed stuntman in a one-time appearance?
Mnn... I don't think so. By design those suits HAVE to be as compact as possible while preserving the appearance and flexibility; some years more than others, obviously. So unless those suits are bulkier than I expected, I don't see how a two-limbed guy could move his arm *into* a non-modified suit.

anyone eveer realized that the zords destroy more buildings than the monsters? the zords always crash into buildings but the monsters never have that happen. they may destroy a few in the beginning but during the fight you almost always see a zord falling into a building.

In the Japanese footage, Megazord (Daizyujin) loses its arm when Cyclopsis (Dora Talos) takes the two blades that come out of its arms and uses them like scissors and "snips" the arm off. I thought that was pretty cool and much much better explains the loss of the arm as opposed to the re-edited footage for MMPR.
Good ol' Robert Axelrod. He is the voice of Lokar here. He later of course became the iconic voice of Lord Zedd. True Story.
