cute series. i would like this programme more if sophie made interesting, insightful commentary instead of being repetitively tedious with "i'm going to add x, then y, then z"

perhaps if she had members of the fashion world as guests and asking her questions as she is cooking would be ultimately more interesting than simply thinking the programme is really about a pretty housewife making rather ordinary dishes that overuses the blender.

@bryngOneOn No unfortunately I think the twee little anecdotes are all hers. I had to turn her off because I found her so annoying. It's aspirational TV at it's sickly best. On the programme I just saw she had a day of indulgence, It must have been at least 5,000 calories. What they didn't show you was her throwing up and stuff her mouth full of toilet paper afterwards.

I really don't believe Sophie is trying to encroach on Nigella's territory at all - there is room for both of them and I love recipes from each!

Honestly, I think this is a cute little show. It's just that Miss Dahl sounds like a chipmunk and what he talks about is sooo not interesting; she's talking all the time but has very little to say, especially about the food. She might have a season or two of good ratings ahead of her, but I don't think she should go on about being the next Nigella... Nigella wrestles in a totally different league.

I'd LOVE to see a show with her and Nigella together...I bet they'd have lots of fun in the kitchen! If you aren't opposed to her, throw in Rachael Ray too...now that would be entertaining!...most of all though, I think I'd like to see more of Sophie's shows first...the more I watch the better it seems to become. It's almost like an acquired taste...which is addictive! Sort of like a fancy dessert with unfamiliar ingredients; and all you get is a tiny taste of it...
