Looking at the price-list, this range is affordable for average middle class Germans. Ulm is a small city, so they cannot price themselves out of business. The difference with the U.S. is that there actually is a middle class is Germany. They don't have to worry about the cost of university education or health cost because it's one of those awful "socialist" countries the republicans want to prevent the U.S. from becoming.

In the US, the government started to increase regulations on indoor air quality requirements for indoor shooting ranges (reduced allowable amounts of smoke, lead dust, etc.). I've noticed that there are, now, more outdoor ranges and fewer indoor ranges in the US. This indoor high tech range looks really nice, but, if German regulations on indoor air quality are similar, I bet they have to have large systems to draw in a large amount of outside air to ventilate the facility.
You do realize right that even with California's inane laws it's still easier to get a firearm there than in Germany, especially if you're talking about a handgun.
That's a skeleton holster for competition. It does little more than support the gun, there is no retention whatsoever. Great if you're shooting IPSC or USPSA and a hundredth of a second makes the difference between winning and losing but worthless for anything else. I should know, I own three for competing in IPSC and a dozen real holsters for everyday carry. Each has its place.
Impressive live fire simulator. We are a month away from opening a few facility (gun range and store) that will have a simulator. We put on a promotional event recently and it was very well received. Great for training new shooters!

Problem is that there are more hunting and bolt action rifles than semi autos.
A guy who goes on a killing spree with a bolt action is easy to hide from. Plus if close by he's easy to knock out. It would also have been noticeable to begin with.
Imagine Harris and Klebold with bolt actions. A college jock could have easily rushed them. I love the 2nd, but there are some weapons the population can not be trusted with.

Normal people arent considered civilized enough to be worthy to participate. Thats why places like this wont stock weapons that cost less than 1500 dollars. The five star restaurant and wine bar inside the range should have been the obvious "no poor people allowed" sign to you.

Problem is that there are more hunting and bolt action rifles than semi autos.
A guy who goes on a killing spree with a bolt action is easy to hide from. Plus if close by he's easy to knock out. It would also have been noticeable to begin with.
Imagine Harris and Klebold with bolt actions. A college jock could have easily rushed them. I love the 2nd, but there are some weapons the population can not be trusted with.

@Patriot36 Its Europe. Most Europeans, especially Germans consider firearms sporting to be exclusive to only the rich or super rich. Normal people arent considered civilized enough to be worthy to participate. Thats why places like this wont stock weapons that cost less than 1500 dollars. They intentionally want to keep away people that dont have ridiculous incomes. The five star restaurant and wine bar inside the range should have been the obvious "no poor people allowed" sign to you.
