@memeluzski123 You have to leave it in the cup with water changes once a week and feed it still and wait until it gets plump and filled with eggs and make sure the male had made a bubblenest or they will still fight. and when the nest is done and she is filled with eggs let the female out.

they should be fine, but id get a younger betta, around the age of your male for a more successful spawn.

i've heard that its best to condition, feed well for a couple of weeks, then let them be for a couple days while breeding process is ongoing.

If you mean for breeding - it's still fine, just gives you more room for the Fry right?

You can, i have done it in a 5 gallon, but YOU must get them and divide them out into other tanks/set ups. It dose work, its just MUCH more hassle doing it that way, and you will really have to know what your doing, to stop from hurting the male,female and fry, when moving them

technically its not advisable cos you WILL have little space to work on (removing the female once spawning is over,etc) and the fries will need to be moved to a bigger growout tank. let me know your thoughts :)

u could use a smaller tank but when u have the baby betta..when they get a little bigger..move them...but haven a 10gal is the best...

I cant stand Males who Show ALOT of Agression towards the females but my current one (Scruff his name) he waits till the female goes near the nest.

They seem to be easier to breed

Well its all in the health of the fish! You should look for ones that are VERY strong in color and look like they are eating and are in good shape!

usually if u want to buy any type of betta it should be around petco. petco has more types of betta but do not try petsmart it has really crap quality betta

you will see small little dot's going up and down in the bubbles after they look like they are swiming on there own you take the male out and put in the pump, the pump will mess up the nest so you dont want to put it in till they are about 3 days old

Indain Almond Leaf it work ever good! they make big nests with them!! and i got 90 fry from that pair too
