My dad has always driven fords and has had tons of problems with them. I personally love toyotas and Chevys
I'm a Toyota guy, so I'll take a Tundra over the competition. But I still think the F-150 is a better truck because it is more work oriented than the Tundra. Most of the sweet bells and whistles that make the Tundra awesome, does NOT make it more useful. Sure, a Tundra will most likely outlast an F-150, but the F-150 is probably better for the work site.

What a great truck. I have the 2010 Tundra with the 4.6L 310HP and it has all the power that I need. I had a Chevy before this truck and I had to sell it because it gave me to much problems and only had 65,000.miles. I had my Tundra now for about 1 yr now and I have 35,000 miles on it now and had no problem so far. The only thing I don't really like about the Tundra is the frame, I just wish they used the fully box frame on the truck.
I love this truck. I am not a big truck guy at all. But driving the truck is great! Great power, acceleration, comfort and its surprisingly nimble. The only issue I had with it was when we got into the crowded city it was a bit of bitch to park. My favorite truck I ever drove.

I had to choose between Ford Ranger and Toyota Tacoma. I liked that the Ranger had vinyl seats and floors, which I wanted, as well as some extra cabin space- but I simply couldn't afford to spend the money on the Ford with so little confidence in the value for my money. My Tacoma is now 3 years old, in perfect condition, and several are on the market for only $1000 less than I paid for it. I realize those are the asking prices, but still, it's amazing resale.

What I am going to say about Toyota isnt just for them, all manufacturers do this. Toyota's TRD on their trucks is funny. THey put this 20 dollar deacl on the beds and make 6k to 10k more depending on state. A person that has a TRD will be given the same shock, spring and so many other parts. Sure the gearin will be different alopng with some some details but nothing worth the increase on what you will pay from the person with the plain jane one.
I've been in construction for many years, and this thing wouldn't last if I were to try to use it like I a real work truck. These "construction workers" were phony, and the whole thing is just another not so cleverly disguised Toyota commercial. The frame is weak, the suspension and frame rust out, they have transmission problems, the tailgate brakes easily, and that is just the start; they just came out with these pathetic "trucks", give them a couple more years to completely fall apart.
Even if the Tundra was the worst, least powerful truck one thing it wouldnt do is fall apart. News flash: toyota's dont fall apart, in fact they are more reliable than almost every other brand. The cool part is the fact that the tundra IS the quickest, IS the truck with the second highest tow rating, and IS ready for anything you throw at it - all toyota's are.

I had to choose between Ford Ranger and Toyota Tacoma. I liked that the Ranger had vinyl seats and floors, which I wanted, as well as some extra cabin space- but I simply couldn't afford to spend the money on the Ford with so little confidence in the value for my money. My Tacoma is now 3 years old, in perfect condition, and several are on the market for only $1000 less than I paid for it. I realize those are the asking prices, but still, it's amazing resale.

Also defective rear end yolk which can lead to drive shaft dropping off. What I am going to say about Toyota isnt just for them, all manufacturers do this. Toyota's TRD on their trucks is funny. THey put this 20 dollar deacl on the beds and make 6k to 10k more depending on state. A person that has a TRD will be given the same shock, spring and so many other parts. I've been in construction for many years, and this thing wouldn't last if I were to try to use it like I a real work truck. These "construction workers" were phony, and the whole thing is just another not so cleverly disguised Toyota commercial. The frame is weak, the suspension and frame rust out, they have transmission problems, the tailgate brakes easily, and that is just the start; they just came out with these pathetic "trucks", give them a couple more years to completely fall apart.

I have 2 tundras and a powerstroke. i had a d max and a gas z71. i also had a cummins and i still have a gas ram. The tundra is the king of gas trucks. im sorry but its true. Now as far as diesels go, we'll have to wait and see but i dont think u can kick a cummins ass.. oh and uhh, powerstrokes are 6.0 and 7.3 there 390merc...

shut up clown. toyota is crap, you know nothing. 390 merc was mentioning a 2011 diesel engine that will be made by ford, yes ford, not international. its code name is the scorpion and it is a 6.7l diesel. we should see them hit the road in f series in a few months. the break in of this new diesel engine will be at 250,000miles. ford even put it through extreme temperature change in one of the tests. +50 celcius to -40 celcius in under 1 minute. would crack most engine blocks in half.

Just go inch by inch details from in one door and out the other. The features built into the doors, seats, dash controls, heating/AC, lighting, Sound system,

engine bay features, ease of service, bumper 5mph damage, fully loaded capacity spring performance, now punch it.
Some of us actually use a truck, vs 2 bags of groceries.

you should see how this tundra held itself together on fords test course. all american trucks went through fords test course very respectable. toyotas box was flopping around like a fish out of water, and was smashing against the cab. body was separating from the frame. funniest thing i have ever seen. in their commercial they say "we have been building trucks longer and better than anyone else" bs. want to say it gets better fuel economy? because it tied last place fuel consumption with dodge.

This is like a good imported alcohol, whether it be beer,wine, or whiskey. It costs more but it is way better than domestic ones. If you had one you would understand.But for all of ou meat heads, just think that your trucks are better, this has a 5.7 with 391 Hp and the Chevy 6.2 only has like 403 or so. And toyota's & hondas are made to last. They might not be the biggest but the are the best

I had a Ford F150, yea its nice but i paid as much as i would of paid for a Tundra but the huge difference it was i lost over 12000$ in value after 6 months now i own a 2008 tundra and im not worried about loosing the value of my truck.... sorry to all the fools that think ford is a great truck "found or road dead" thats all i can say about FORD
