I was at this game and it was one of the proudest moments of my life. Although the American support was likely less than 5,000 the Sam's Army chants dominated at times and could be heard around the stadium. Most of the Mexican fans around me were friendly and gratious, some threw beer. I hope more US fans make a commitment to this team. It is truly dissapointing not to have the homefield advantage on our own soil. I hope to see some more support in the future, have some National Pride.

first of all, did u see the roster that USA brought to Copa America??? Compare the quality of players they brought to the Gold Cup versus Copa America. Lastly, it was 4-1 and Argentina didn't play with medium gas. They brought their best team they could fill to Copa and you can't argue that when Tevez is on the bench to start the game against USA.

This rivalry is the best thing that can happen in the CONCACAF. It's really unfortunate that the U.S. sent its reserve squad to fight for Copa America. They lost 4-1 against a fully armed Argentina. US sent a bunch of young players with no experience. Why did they throw the tournament like that?
This over the border rivalry can only be good for the quality of the soccer of both countries. Mexican soccer could never grow past North America because they had no worthy opponents. Now this has changed. Giants come out of Europe because the whole area is filled with great teams.

I was at this game and it was one of the proudest moments of my life. Although the American support was likely less than 5,000 the Sam's Army chants dominated at times and could be heard around the stadium. Most of the Mexican fans around me were friendly and gratious, some threw beer. I hope more US fans make a commitment to this team. It is truly dissapointing not to have the homefield advantage on our own soil. I hope to see some more support in the future, have some National Pride.

Well said, iriedogg. We do have a long way to go, but we're sending more players out to Europe and that experience can only be good. Although the fan base is growing, it isn't as rapidly as I wish. The fans do make a difference. 1,2,3...USA!

My God, some US soccer fans needs to learn to have some humility sense, Im agree they are rising, but thinking about the level, I really don't understand how could you compare Brasil, Argentina, Italy, France, Germany with USA team...one thing is to beat Mexico in US, to win a world cup is something else. Now Argentina get 4-0 over your team and played whith medium gas...come on, let's try to be objective, there's a long way to go to be the best soccer team

Ok man your right about you cant compare the US to Brasil, Germany, Argentina, Italy, and France. But youve got to understand that the US team was also playing with a lot of younger players. ANd alot of those players hadnt played with each other. They Couldve beaten Argentina but yea they didnt

first of all, did u see the roster that USA brought to Copa America??? Compare the quality of players they brought to the Gold Cup versus Copa America. Lastly, it was 4-1 and Argentina didn't play with medium gas. They brought their best team they could fill to Copa and you can't argue that when Tevez is on the bench to start the game against USA.

This rivalry is the best thing that can happen in the CONCACAF. It's really unfortunate that the U.S. sent its reserve squad to fight for Copa America. They lost 4-1 against a fully armed Argentina. US sent a bunch of young players with no experience. Why did they throw the tournament like that?

This over the border rivalry can only be good for the quality of the soccer of both countries. Mexican soccer could never grow past North America because they had no worthy opponents. Now this has changed. Giants come out of Europe because the whole area is filled with great teams.

Thanks. I was torn because I live in America, am Spanish not Mexican, but watch Liga Mexicana more than the MLS. I wanted Omar Bravo to score so badly, but I wanted the USA to win more. I always wish that Mexico play well, just not well enough to beat the USA! Good luck next game.

Damn...i'm a proud mexican, living in mexico and that really hurt. Mexico played a good game but the US took great advantage of the counterattacks and at the end the team that's the most effective at their chances wins. too bad haha
at least we have copa america to look forward to and we started off in the right foot beating brasil so, let's see how that turns out...

Honestly it hurts to have lost, but to be more honest, mexico sucked all the tournament, the only reason why we reached the final was the teams we had to face in the last 2 matches. Anyways, we just won 2-0 vs Brazil so im happy now. I guess all i have to say i cangratz u.s., but get ready for the next cup...:)

Hopefully american soccer gets bigger in the U.S then they could probably have homefield advantage and be able to play a great game against teams like brazil and Argentina, as being mexican-american i love the rivalry the U.S and mexico have it just makes my spine tingle :D

That's all changing. The US has consistently improved ever since hosting the World Cup in 1994. That created a whole new generation of fans and players. My guess is that within 15 years, the US will be able to consistently compete with the top talent in the world.
