Im a huge Nephilim fan and i saw the Nefilim on the Zoon 1996 UK tour (after the album came out). They were incredible and Zoon was an album Carl McCoy (in his own words) had to make, a natural progession of Fields of the Nephilim.
Zoon and the most recent album Mourning Sun both in my opinion are up there with every other Fields of the Nephilim album.
I don't know...there's something so deep in this song, it's addicting. It's hypnotic. Incredible, my favortite track from "Zoon". Mc.Coy is a great artist.
thanks for posting this, i watched the zillo show of the nefilim in hamburg in december that year... was let down cuz elyzium was still fresh in my heart, but soon zoon became among my fav.
Can any hardcore fans tell me if Simon Rippin plays a double bass drum kit, I don't play drums but in songs like "Penetration" say it sounds like, or he's a superfast drummer, Zoon is a cool album and Shine is fav song on it.
Excellent! You certainly know your stuff it seems!, I thought there was sumink that makes his drumming unique to most! Thanks for that! wonder why he traded 9 for 6? two less, not including bass with double pedal.
I think he got fed up lugging round such a big kit, and it can be a problem in small venues with small stages. Simon is a very good mate of mine so i know these things!

A heavenly song...
btw I agree with "neindasgehtnicht" ... esp. the beginning of that song is orgasmic.

yeah, simon had a 9 piece double bass kit back then. in nfd he uses a 6 piece, single bass drum with double pedal kit...hope that helps!

some FOTN "hardcore" fans don't like this era, I think it's bloody great, pure apocalipse

I consider myself quite the FOTN fan but I personally think this is one of Carl's best works
