  • Great song. Lyrics by John Barry's usual lyricist, Don Black.

  • Thei is the B side to Peaceful. I love it just as much.

  • It wasn't just featured in the film 'Boom.' It was written for the film, when the late John Dankworth was hired to score it. However, for some reason, he dropped out and the remainder of the score was accomplished (superbly) by John Barry. Hideaway remained in the film, however. But isn't the orchestration superb, especially the strings. I don't know who was responsible for that.

  • I agree I love this. Saw him singing it on, I think it was an old Sandie Shaw prog recently.

It was the B side to Peaceful.

  • Isn't this great? I have the above CD but I can't find it!! It is somewhere in this 5 room wardrobe shack with a view.

BTW, this song was featured in the 1968 film flop BOOM! starring the Burton's. I remember it clearly in the BG of a scene with frigid Joanna Shimkus (now Mrs. Sidney Poitier).

  • PS.

Is it possible to post the track BLOSSOM from the CD? Georgie wrote it as a response to the tribute he received from the great Blossom Dearie who passed a few weeks ago. There is a posting of her song SWEET GEORGIE FAME, it would make a great response.
