I played the PSP version of TMNT and that game was god awful. The only problem I had with TMNT Turtles in Time Re-shelled I wished they gave the option to play with classic graphics.
@ResurrectedTemplar Well, the Nightwatcher has a different moveset because of his different weapon- a manriki. Plus, he could've been replaced with another damn raving rabbid...
I say Leatherhead, Aska from Tournament Fighters, and as a joke Rayman shouldve tooken the places of those goddamn Rabbids and maybe some more characters too plus better levels, make April look like her 1987 counterpart with a moveset thats a cross between Chun-Li and Princess Peach, change the Utroginator's name to Krang and Smash Up wouldve been an instant hit! XD
If they can make an awesome Batman game like "Arkham Asylum" then theres no excuse for not being able to make a Turtles game thats just as good. Hell, Batman is a ninja just like the Turtles so there ya go...
I don't care that you're voicing your opinion because unlike "critics" you're giving "constructive" criticism, as in saying what you think should've been done that would've made the game better.
Here's what someone needs to do, take a Ninja Turtles game and add elements from the Spider-Man games where you go throughout New York and add elements from Batman Arkham Asylum with the ability to swap turtles, each with different skills. Hiding in the shadows and beating down Foot Ninja and Purple Dragons throughout New York as the turtles, sounds decent, right?
@MarkC18 man, you must be a physic, theres a huge rumor lately that Rocksteady and the Arkham City developers are working on a open-world/rpg ninja turtles game, its being called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mathatan Crisis.
Ninja Turtles should have been easy to fill a roster for, and a very large roster at that, especially for a game designed for the 25th anniversary, just take characters and stages from different incarnations and pit them against each other similar to the way the classic Capcom VS. games or Smash Brothers do it. Mirage comics, the various cartoons, movies, and even New Mutation, plus the countless toylines over the years. Who wouldn't want to beat down the Turtle Saint with Troll Raph?
Smash-up was disappointing, mainly for the roster. At 6:04, you have there what was the tease on their official website. The problem: there were actually 7 additional question marks on the bottom line... and they filled up only 3 slots... with rabbids... Seeing the old TMNT logo, I would have expected classic characters like Bebop, Rocksteady, Usagi and Leatherhead, with new ones like Bishop, Hun and Traximus... but no... the rabbids can go screw themselves, seriously...
What if Ubisoft would've made a video game based on Turtles Forever or what if Ubisoft and Nintendo teamed up to make a crossover game called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs Nintendo?
I'd probably play those.
Turtles in Time for both Arcade and Super Nintendo were cool. I liked some of the music tracks used in the Mutant Nightmare port of Turtles in Time.
Hyperstone Heist for Sega Genesis was pretty cool, but nowhere near as cool as Turtles in Time.
@Nicksolo85 Actually, what Ubisoft needs to do is to stop making shovelware titles for Wii and DS (Move and Kinect are gonna get their share too) and make GOOD games. Re-Shelled was dull... what they should have done is to take the SNES version, polish the 2D graphics and litterally double the stages. Where are the Ancient Japan, Ancient Egypt, Atlantis, Ancient Greece, Far West, World War 2, Alcatraz and Alien-invaded World stages ? That would have been cool, a 15 hour beat-em-up !
@MrJechgo A 15 hour beat-em-up? Yeesh, no offense but I think anyone would get sick of it after the first 2 or 3 hours... But yeah, more stages and such would have been great.
@Nicksolo85 I don't think Ninja Turtles vs Nintendo would make sense, no offense ^_^;;; I'd rather they'd crossover with maybe the Image comics, Darkhorse comics, Usagi Yojimbo, etc.
In my IMDB discussion about it, I even included a level where the Classic (87) cartoon turtles battle their Shredder and Krang in the Technodrome (it would be the 1st level but it's the flashback scene that Classic cartoon Leonardo was talking about) and a level where the (84) Comic Book Turtles battle their Shredder.
I even said that in the final level, players could not only choose any of the 12 turtles, but Karai, 03 Splinter, Krang and 87 Shredder.
your right man, i could think of so many more characters to go in the game, one rabid would've been enough, and i did hate the fact that it was the style of 2007 turtles with 2003 voices, at least have nolan north do nighwatcher maybe that would have been a little better, and also i noticed that mike only uses one nunchuck and i also hated how shredders alternate costume was cyber shredder that just sucked especially cuz BTS sucked, the game was ok and your rant was very right keep on ranitng!
Someone needs to tell Irate Gamer that better graphics DO NOT make a game better. Here's hoping the original arcade game and the SNES version come to virtual console.
what they need to do, is make a turtles beat em up game with a mix a classic charecters as well as alternate costumes featuring classic style charecters from the 80s an comic series, example like casey Jones with an alternate to b like his 80's psycho counterpart or all the turtles with there 80's for there alternate forms an comic oldies look. Charecters who i can see for fun being in would b hun in his movie turtles form with slash as his alternate and leatherhead with the old an new for the 2
@DoctorDrinkX10 if they did that I think alot of attention to the series an its altered different show timelines an univereses can lead to so many possablities :)
Ubisoft rarely makes good games PERIOD. The only decent game they ever made that I can think of is Red Steel 2.
And yeah, a Triceraton, Leatherhead and Rat King would have been better than those rabbids. It should've had the ability to choose which version of a character you want to play as, such as Mirage Turtles, 1987 turtles or 2003 turtles, not TMNT CGI turtles with 2003 characters made to look like they were in the movie.
@DoctorDrinkX10 I only owned like two Splinter Cell games. They're okay, but I'm more of a Zelda fanboy than anything else. So they don't interest me as much.
I assumed that now with NICK owning TMNT, all future TMNT games will be made by THQ, who rarely made any games that interest me. Oh well, better than another Arcade Attack.
I wish I was like you

About Smash-Up - having Nightwatcher as a separate character is kinda stupid. It shoud've been alternate costume for Raphael.

Just an idea I had because I heard that TMNT Smash Up plays very similarly to SSBB.
So yeah, 1-4 players (vs modes of 2-4 fighters)
Also, what do you think about the idea of a Turtles Forever game?

@Nicksolo85 I say it would be AWESOME, that's what. Each stage could be a different ninja turtles world, lol.
