  • I LOVE your pins D:

  • love this tutorial, watch it all the time as i tr to perfect my tu tu skills

  • dear threadbanger i was wondering if you can do a Tutorial on a t shirt that wraps and ties at the hip and could you do one on a Japanese kimono tutorial.to. let me know if you can thank you and i like videos

  • Why did this channel stop making vids!!?WHYYYY!!!?

  • @SaiKamiKannon they are back but with alot of other side projcets of indiviuals !!! just released their back video in late august so youtube search for their new ones

  • @Vampkiki I know that comment I made was months old...

  • @SaiKamiKannon sorry wasn't sure if you had heard or not . but i am glad they are back too. the other girl was ok but corinne is still my fav.

  • @Vampkiki Ah, but I guess very Threadbanger is excited about this news (and Corinne and Rob's wedding), I wonder if Rob is gonna just hang behind the scenes on this one? I liked him and I liked showing my boyfriend that guys can DIY, too!

  • @SaiKamiKannon yeah my guy wont do that ...but he will cook so...guess its a fair trade. yeah i thought rob was cute and they make a wicked cute couple...i hope they show clips from their wedding. i checked out some of the new stuff, and although i appreciate the new forum showing alot more diy-ers...i don't get the blonde at all.

  • I love your tutorials : ) but i don't have the patients to do this myself. Mostly cause I'm not that advaced in DIY projects yet.

  • Dear ThreadBanger:

Thank you for the video. It was very helpful. The got the general idea. I am making a dress that would look nice with a petticoat. I will use your idea but I will just make my sections longer.

  • I need a petticoat.. :l

  • I have been making no sew tutus for some time now and never thought of adding ribbon to it. I make boutique style hair bow and have a ton of ribbon. I feel so duhhh right now. LOL. Well thank you for the video it was awesome and I am heading to the fabric store to get more materials and I am going to try this out. I have been trying to come up with a way to make a tutu for myself and I think this is going to be perfect. I will post pic once it is done. THANK YOU MUCH!!!!

  • Lovely, clear and simple. Well done you. x

  • You are a great host. Can you just stop moving your shoulders so much when you talk? :)

  • im using this to make a few lolita petticoats.itll be easy to convert and make fluffier and longer. thanks now i dont have to buy an expensive brand name lolita pannier.

  • anyone know what the band fabric is?

  • @CollidingSparks hers looks like a sateen or rayon ..due to the sheen on it..but almost any fabric will work...just make sure that it is one that doesn't frey easily unless you want to sew a propper hem in it ..light weight cottons will work for this project also, but won't be as shiny. velvets, heavy cottons, brocades, etc can all be used for making the tutu into a skirt by lengthening the sections for a lolita or victorian look as well....

  • I want to make this but make it into a pettiecoat how would i make it mor floofy? :P

  • i want to make a tutu so bad but i dont have thousands of yards of tulle just laying around but i wonder if you count make it out of something recycled hmmmm...

  • where do you guys get those pins?? i have ugly ball end pins that i hate lol

  • @BirdieNtheSky think they have some at hobby lobby....but if you have a Tuesday Morning near you, i think they have it, because i went to my tuesday morning and it had those pins in the back

  • hi, you know when you sew the ends (3:47) do you just sew the ends together?do you need to measure the angles or anything?sorry im just a beginner:p

  • @00miaaa00 no just don't sew the opening for the casing

  • I made one of these for my niece and it's so cute! She's 1 and a half and lives on a farm with my brother. It's so adorable to see her prance around the garden in her tutu!

  • Hello there! For Halloween this year I'm going to be a sorcerer, but I need to make a cloak (something along the lines of little red riding hood). Could you possibly post a video on how to do that? ^^

  • muriaal...... I'll tell you how I made a cape for Halloween last year, I shopped the second hand store near me and found a long skirt made of heavy material and slit it up the side where the zipper was and added a collar and a big tab for a button and button hole, and a big baggy hoodie. It was really awesome .... and cheap. Buying fabric like that new is pricey, like waaaaaay over my budget. So anyway have fun, we only live once!....

  • Ooo sounds cool. I'll try it! Thanks ^^

  • It would probably be a better idea for people making this from bought fabric to use pieces of fabrics and sew them together to reach those lengths. Otherwise, you would have to buy 6 yards of tulle and band fabric to only use a thin 19 or 6" band of it.You could just buy a few yards, cut out the strips in halves or thirds, and sew them together. Bolts are 45 or 60" wide, and while this worked for you because you used something you already had, the directions aren't really practical for everyone.

  • and diff. fabrics would look cool for halloween- and easier to come by

  • tis is cute

  • amazing!

  • Love this but I was wondering if you could come up with a cute skunk costume for an adult my daughter is going to be one and I need an adult version if you have any advice then thank you in advance.

  • Were you two @ Burning Man? I'm from Reno and that looked quite a bit like a playa party ;)

  • HOLY CRAP. this is exactly what i needed :]]]

    thank youuu

  • hey could u guys make a video for makeing knitted earflap hats? i saw some kool 1s online, but im short on cash.i have lotsa yarn and tonsa time.lol

  • muuwahaaa

  • um.. sure.. it's good for ..pirates..

    it's very pretty though :)

  • that was terrific, i just made one two weeks ago. i had to squint at someones blog for instructions, though

you know what would be a super awesome costume tutorial? A tut for a circus ring master costume. You can show how to make a blazer top thing with a top hat which were both requested at some point.

  • the man-tu niceee i know wht im makin my father 4 fathers day =P

  • OO KOOOL

  • YAY. :) i miss seeing her in the videos.

  • This is a great video. I used to have an industrial overlock machine with a ruffler attachment and I made hundreds of frothy crinolines when I was about 15. I really miss that machine! It makes everything so fast and the ruffles are so perfect. I really love the colors you used. Your tutu is so adorable. The mantu was funny. He didn't look like the kind of guy who would be comfortable in one. :) Thanks for the great video!

  • Corrinne,

Could you mention what size needle and what to adjust the machine to, for the sewing projects you do? That would really help, us newbie sewers could really use the 411 on those things. Thanks so much, and you rock!

  • Limerick:

A tutor who tooted the flute

Tried to teach two young tooters to toot

Said the two to the tutor

"Is it harder to toot, or to tutor two tooters to toot?"

  • How cute! I loved it.

  • can you help me with my costum im going to be a lolita doll

  • This is cool but how do you sew the basting (sp?) stitch that you said to gather the fabric? I have no idea how to do that

  • Adjust your machine to its longest stitch length and that is your basting stitch. Mine is a '5' but it varies from machine to machine.

  • Really cute. I actually made one of these for a zombie video that my friends and I made (I thank threadbanger for helping convince my friends that I should be the official seamstress).

  • super cute!

  • She is gorgeous.

    Thanks =)

  • she reminds me of Christina Ricci in Casper. :)

    and I love this!

but i make the tutus like the...mantu, haha it's easier.

  • i was going to DIY mu own tutu for halloween (im being a zombie ballerina)

but while in the capezio store in NYC i spotted the perfect black tutu for my costume for an awesome price. it saved me a whole lot of time :D

  • omg THANK YOU im going as a ballerina perfect!

  • Cute, but I'd get an old petticoat at the thrift shop -- too much work and not particularly inexpensive.

  • Neat, if you're in that sort of thing. I love Corrine's necklace.

  • LOL that poor dog looks sooooo bored.

  • Haha a mantu!!

  • For my birthday I wore a vintage dress that needed a tulle petticoat. I paid 50 bucks for that petticoat. Wished I saw this tutorial before I brought that petticoat slip.

  • Its so cute =)

    xoxo

  • well...i like the guy's tutu...

  • wow that looks really hard..... =/

  • hi guys do you think you can make a tutorial on how to make a baby's halloween costume out of a stuffed animal?

thanks guys, KEEP UP THE GOOD IDEAS!!!

  • The ribbon trimmings made it look very cute.

And a mantu? LOL! That made my day. : )

  • oh jeeze that must have taken FOREVER!

  • Halloween is bomb! SO exciting!!

  • Wouldn't this be better called making a petticoat from a petticoat? I thought tutu's were more like what they showed at the end that the dude and the girl were wearing.

  • Im gonna make alot of em!!!!! Thanks for showing me how Corinne ♥♥♥♥♥

  • SAVE TIME INVEST IN A GATHERING FOOT

  • where do you even get one of those?

  • so cute

  • Too bad this showed up 3 days after I figured it out myself...

  • i love it...lat year i made a tulle skirt but it's so ugly:D i've worn it one time at a book fair but since that it hangs in my garderobe.... i'll transform it into a sweet tulle tutu... thank you:D

  • yay thank you !

i was looking for something like this!

  • no! you destroyed the sweeny todd skirt!!

:( ah well, i guess it is recycling

  • What is wrong with that pumpkin....looks like it has an STD.

  • haha yeah. cool video though =]

  • hahahaha!

  • Lol, I saw your drag makeup tute a few days ago.....loved it by the way.

  • This is about the same thing as turning leggings into tights.

  • Why did this not show up in my subscription box? Why is the quality so bad? Why is Corinne so cute?! SO many questions left to be un answered!

  • Great video as always.

  • Awesome!

  • whoa... that is pretty awsome

  • hey thats cool
