  • Ok Megan, you have got me enthused. Can you believe, I joined Jenny Craig this week.......Lots of weight to lose, but lots of health to be gained. Im doing the Magda, (but I have to lose more than she did). Little by little, the activity level will come up too.

  • hi Megan, just a thought... but all the stuff i learned from my parents who are both GPs & both into alternative medicine, the stuff i learned through my own studies of yoga & diet & taoist health practices, things i have learned from friends... and then all the things you have been learning about diet... one of the important things is to put all that into a coherent single philosophy that is adaptable to anyone... now that would make a great video

  • yes to some extent, but there are underlying patterns that apply to everyone... or at least can be used to determine what is most appropriate for a particular person... when you look at the body as a system of integrated subsystems, and then understand the mechanisms & principles, i think that is where people can overcome a lot more of the health problems they face... providing of course you have the discipline to follow the solution

  • Oh it's EXCELLENT!! Have worked 3 times so far, and have enjoyed it more each time!! I think I forgot how much I actually enjoyed hairdressing and doing all the kids and being in such a bright vibrant salon is AWESOME!!! Will check out the link!! Thanks, xxxxxxxx : )

  • ...ok, let's not end on that note. Besides, while the college group is out skydiving I'll be officially joining my church. Anyway, yeah Professor Felton is definitely keeping us active, at least the twice a week we meet for Voice & Movement. Then, of course, the sailing, dancing, etc. But I think food is my major concern right now.

  • Yep-food is truly the MAIN thing with weight-the exercise is what keeps us young and healthy and fit...just be completely HONEST with yourself...if you really want it-it is all right there waiting for you to take action...this time in 10 weeks you will have formed some great new habits xxx

  • Aww shoot, and here I am with all this rice with my dinner. It's BROWN rice, but I guess I need to have it earlier in the day. I'm just afraid I'll still feel hungry if I dont' have a carb with dinner too. What about chili for dinner with cheese on top? Would that work? It has beans in it.

  • YES-quickly stick the rice in the fridge for lunch and the chilli with beans and some cheese is GREAT!!! Have a cup of tea afterwards...you will be fine xxxxxxxx

  • Well, too late for tonight but I'll try to remember that for tomorrow. I've got all those cans of chili so I'll get into those tomorrow. : )

    ...and maybe get more frozen chicken on the nights I'm not supposed to have red meat.

  • I just joined your Facebook group! I refuse to believe that people "slow" down after 40. I was training for a marathon, but sprained my ankle, so I will join the challenge to adjust my eating habits.
