  • it did not offer much info

  • I bought and planted six scotch blooms in my yard and they are dying. I don't understand why? I water them every other day or so, and they sit in about meduium sunlight right now. In the summer, there will be more light and heat on them.

    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks.

PS: I had no idea they are classified as weeds....I saw them at a home store and just loved them.

  • To Mr. Viette and the 2 previous posters above I have somthing to say in response to Scotch Broom (Cytisus scoparius) and "broom" plants in general

SB can come in many horticultural varieties. regardeless of that they are all noxious weeds and anyone encouraging their use should stop. In fact SB ranks as one of the world's foremost weeds and is now a focal point of the world wide broom initiative

go to the California Invasive Plant Council for info

    Thank you,

    A concerned botanist

  • That is not Scotch Broom, it is some other domesticated version of the plant. Scotch Broom is a noxious weed that will spread at will and choke out native plants. The plant in this video is not Scotch Broom.

  • damn i need broom..where can i get some in cali?
