i don't see drop on emissions, Wikipedia says that Canada and Germany has successfully lower their emissions while India, China and America just increase more and more annually. How will the politicians make money? The way I see it, it's just going to be another failure like the Kyoto protocol, because what can they do if the signatories do not follow the treaty? Are they going to pass sanctions against them through the U.N.? The U.S. definitely isn't going to change mainly because in the leaders mind the future of their country depends on using fossil fuels. I think it is around 80% of emissions in the U.S. which comes from cars, so it is a problem that can be fixed.

Doesn't matter what happens because as always the costs will be tossed down to the consumer. You tax the corporations which produce high amounts of Co2 emissions and they will just raise the costs of their products, or pay off the congress to pass laws to force the average person to pay for everything.
