In k-1 I went to school in Napa, CA. One of our teachers and her husband had a puppet troupe. I will never forget the story of when they were invited to France to work with Jim Henson. they brought their young son. On the first day he saw the Kermit muppet in a plastic bag on the floor - confused why he was not talking. Jim saw this, came running over, shook Kermit awake and proceeded to bring him to life to reassure the young boy that Kermit was fine and everything was ok.

I remember seeing the funeral broadcasted on TV when I was a kid. A peice of us all died along with him that day. This is very well done. good job! :)

Jon this is a real amazing tribute to Jim I've ever seen before in my life, I'll always love him forevermore always and the song Follow Me from Fraggle Rock, brought me back memories of my best friend Jesse Klump who recently passed away last February so I was wondering if it's ok if I can have the MP3 to Follow Me and the Guitar Chords to it also when I play my guitar again soon, so if you can send me the Follow me chords for guitar and the mp3 that'll be great otherwise good job.

Jim died just before my 26th birthday, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I grew up with Kermit and the gang, they were a strong touchstone for me as we moved around the world. My own son was just catching on to the wonder of the Muppets when Jim was taken from us. Wherever he may be, I hope he knows how much people still admire and mourn for him. Thanks for speaking for the rest of us, Jon, with this lovely tribute, nicely done.

Aww! Jim Henson is one of my heroes (and half the world's, I suspect) because of what his characters taught me--not just about ABC's and 123's, but about facing life. Rest in Peace, Jim...and God bless you!

The Ernie and Bert clip is from "The Rhyming Game," (my fav E&B sketch) posted by hugic2112; The Big Bird and Cookie Monster clips come from "Bo Knows," which I got from tvcollector2 and you can now see it on T-Bird's channel; and The Oscar clip is from "The Trash is Right," posted by sawing14s. Yeah. It would have been awesome to meet him, to talk with him, and even puppeteer with. In fact, I always imagined I was a part of his original team of puppeteers (Frank, Jerry, Richard, Dave, Steve, Kevin, and Carroll). He actually died over a year before I was born. =(
