  • Terrible mistakes and premeditated action was taken on All sides. Let's aim for Harmony. Time is ticking.

  • you say protestants are more bitter and bigoted people, well when sirty porvo scumbags torture your communitys i would like to think it would raise hate and anger..grow a brain lad

  • I'd love to gouge Ian Paisleys eye's out with a spoon!

  • the face of this biggot is true evil... this is insane. " hahah ,i wont be arround here anymore when they'll say those things about me hahah ... " ... he deserves hell.Enough said. Excrement of society and reason. Lying, cheating, saddistic, murder instigator,biggot,racist... this is just too much.I mean, how can you become like this? Is this what religion has done for them? I am really glad that i dont believe in any religion.I believe in people and myself!

  • i think i understand...that preacher psycopat didnt get what he wanted - power ...so i guess he didnt want to stop the fighting. What an insane person. May god send him to hell the moment he dies of agonizing death. And if there is a god he wont forgive this saddist so easily... 10 000 years of burning pain should do the trick. Then 1 million years of purgatory and then maybe heaven. I am an atheist, but in these cases i really hope there is a hell and heaven. Justice is the keyword here

  • what changed from then till ian paisley was first minister?

  • @Freshhhhh1982 Paisley is a bitter bitter man, he's as much to blame for fanning the flames of sectarianism as anyone

  • @caiomheerin Bobby Sands and his 9 comrades didn't starve themselves to death for Sinn Fein to sit at Stormont with Paisley....Sinn Fein have sold out....all Gerry (the very same Gerry who denies his former life in IRA) and co have done is ensure another generation will go through the same shit in Northern Ireland.!!

  • Paisley sure likes to yell alot.

  • big distraction for the colour tele.

  • John Taylor has to be the most fucked up politican out there. He doesst no what hes sayin half the time. He supports the UDA, he dosent support the UDA, he supports the UDA...........

  • There is amnesty to those who committed terrorism before good Friday agreement.

  • What is the name of the song that guy is singing at 5.46?????????

  • Thank the Lord, Paisley saw sense in the end and decided that future generations deserve peace as he comes to the end of his days.

  • victory to the INLA hahahahah billy wright

  • up the I.R.A

  • Funny how Paisley changed his convictions when he got a sniff of power

  • Is it just me or does the guy 'singing' at 5:46 sound Scottish, and not like he's from Northern Ireland at all?

  • @padraic2001eire I was thinking that too!

  • Isn't about time ian paisley popped his cloggs?

  • Great series, watched it when it was first broadcast on the tele.

Well done to the person who uploaded them.

I hope the arguments in the North of Ireland turn into political ones rather than ones based on religion and historial events.

  • fat hun basterds

  • what is the name of the song which starts at 5:44?

  • An excellent series. I would like to echo sentiments made under previous episodes and commend the republican uploader for refraining from tampering with the documentory. I was just wondering what the uploaders thoughts were on the series and how, if at all it impacted on his thoughts about Northern Irish Protestants.

  • Anyone tell me the song at 5.46?

  • @adamh65 THE YCV BRIGADE to the air of the teddy bears head.

  • also on a foot note j gregg mahood doris day etc keep up the good work we no longer need guns ur lot r doin a good enough job so we will just leave u alone to get on with our old job keep killing urselfs slan go foil

  • martingers ulster has 9 counties n ireland 6 did u do any geography at ur school uda uff uvf etc fighting for 3 counties in the republic so wat part of ulster were they fighting ur part r our part lol

  • i know it has 9 counties with 3 in the republic the 3 being donegal, cavan and monaghan

  • @nollaig4 but the Northern Irish state after partition did not.!! your point is??

  • How do all you Paisley supporters feel now that your man is in power with SF-IRA?The UDA are right!Paisley used the UDA and UVF before they told him NO MORE and fuck off,now they are proven right and the holy man is just a hypocrite.

  • Thanks for the uploads.

I hope Ireland has a peaceful & prosperous future.

  • There would be no need to protect your people if you could live in a state that is not based on sectarian suspicion and the importance of supporting a certain football team from an overseas city. Protestants can only be secure if Nationalists have citizenship they can live with.

  • Ha ha that excuse again, supporting the police, courts and the law of the land aka British Rule for slow learners and they didnt fail??? we have been fighting for a few hundred years ourselfs so thats no problem, you have your rights so Irish america wont fall for the big bad British crap anymore.

  • why is mad dog adair not on these

  • because mad dog is a fukin cunt thats why he was never interested in the loyalist cause he just wanted the fame and money hes just a no good drug dealer and he thought he could run the UDA and was bigger than the UDA no man or person is bigger than any Organisation i would be happy if he dropped dead tommorow he was responsible for the killing of John Gregg who was actually interested in the Loyalist cause unlike that faggot Adair and his fukin C Coy

  • i absolutely agree. Adair was never a true loyalist and didnt care for the cause, he simply was a drug dealer masquerading as loyal to ulster. his supporters murdered john gregg in belfast docks. adair can fuck off RIP "grugg"

  • Obviously by your name you are a republican so i'd like to thank you for uploading this without bias

  • @davidlimond not only a pint on falls road, one in ballymurphy too................

  • the ira only targeted brits until the loyalist death squads killed 1 to many taxi driver and it was at the behest of the catholic community's that were under attack from loyalists how would you like to wake up with foreign soldiers pointing guns at your wife or kids well thats what republicans in Ireland have to deal with

  • The ira fought for a United Ireland and failed

  • Comment removed

  • Well said, have you met any Irish Americans on u-tube yet??? There on fucking glue the shite they come out with lol

  • 3 counties in ulster are in the free state. Britain is england scotland and wales, no part of ireland is in britain

  • as it is the truth the IRA were the main causers of the war really as everyone says if theres no IRA theres no loyalist death squads both sides killed innocent people accept it

  • These are brilliant, disturbing programmes. Peter Taylor should be commended for them. I hope this series, along with Provos and Brits, become available on DVD some day.

  • haha paisley lived up to his stance on good friday agreement didnt he?

  • Why is Marxist ideology any worse than ultra-Nationalism ('for god and ulster')?

At least the endgame of Republicanism is to create an inclusive society that upholds Protestant communities in the context of a single secular and secure nation. The endgame of Loyalism seems to be just the same as the methodology -- ie. the upping of one community against another and cultural exclusiveness. Then you get the Protestant 'Mullahs' who believe Catholics are the eternal enemy.

  • hahaah look at the fat little buggers hahahahahahahaha HAHAHHAHAHAHAH

Loyalists should stay away from the Pie and Chips hahaha

  • that was collin idea.but someof thr ira could not see that that was r shame

  • We do and have done what we believe is right. FGAU.

  • Ive watched both the programs provos and loyalists, both excellent.

As a neutral though, after watching both, the people on the Republican side strike me as alot less bitter and bigoted, more motivated by genuine reasons like civil rights and freedom.

The Loyalists, aside from a few exceptions, come across as very bigoted, paranoid people with evil running through them.

The loyalist guys seem type who would have ended up in prison anyway, people you would avoid, the underclass of society.

  • Wind yer neck in.. We wouldn't've borne arms in the first place if it wasn't for the IRA and it looks like we'll have to use them again soon.. you're not just a neutral you're ignorant!!

  • @Deasylod

Explain how watching your own people blown away is an irrational fear (which paranoia is)

I think both programmes explain how complex a situation this was for both sides and both sides have very valid points.

I'm a nutreal too btw but i disagree with your opinion on this one.

  • @Deasylod

OK I JUST READ YOUR COMENTS ON OTHER VIDEOS AND YOU AREN'T NUTREAL AT ALL.YOU ARE A REPUBLICAN

    NICE TRY

  • @Deasylod No matter what spin anyone puts on the troubles, republicans committed more crimes, more shootings, more bombings, double the murders and thus double the tragedy and mourning.

  • @Deasylod I think they had more tolerance for the criminal element among them because they ultimately had less of a clear political consciousness, it was more a personal sense of grievance and fear. They were not all evil but they couldn't or didn't really pick and choose who or what would represent them because to come to a fuller consciousness would be to admit the Republicans had a point that undermined their identity. Atrocities on both sides of course but more senseless on this one.

  • @Deasylod And it's always easier for the people who feel they're being attacked for nothing to say "The revolutionaries are crazy," because probably the people on top wouldn't need to use violence if those on bottom weren't attacking, so in a way one can see where the self-righteousness comes from. In the privileged classes it's easy to think "I'm being attacked for who I am." White people in the South, Zionists in Israel, etc. & in their shoes maybe it would be the same for most of us.

  • @Deasylod

What nonsense. So many working class lads joined the UVF and UDA. No evil, just the cause. No Surrender.

  • @Deasylod To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure how you can call one group of murder gangs "evil", but not call the other group of murder gangs "evil".

  • @Deasylod

not only a pint on falls road, one in ballymurphy too..................

  • @Deasylod

Can't help but agree. The Republicans had a legitimate cause, whereas the Loyalists were simply fearful of losing their dominant position within Northern Ireland, hence why they implemented mindless, reactionary terrorism and sectarian violence.

  • @myipodisblue1 you obviously know nothing about Irish history.........rightly or wrongly (depending on your POV) the protestant people of Northern Ireland have a fervent wish to remain part of the UK. Rightly or wrongly, they perceive militant Irish republicanism as a threat to that status...as a result of militant Irish republican terrorism protestant people took up arms to safeguard their British heritage.without Irish republican terrorism there would be no Loyalist terrorism....simple.!!

  • @FTMJarra You're obviously a biased observer. I am very familiar with Irish history and have researched Nationalist Terrorism. Your argument that 'without Irish republican terrorism there would be no Loyalist terrorism' is irrational, reactionary and not indicative of statistical data. The truth is that Loyalist paramilitaries executed more people during the infamous 'troubles' period than their republican counterparts. UDA = 1,071 deaths, with 49.6 percent being Catholic civilian.

  • @myipodisblue1 UFF killings are more like 76-80% catholic civilian.

  • @FTMJarra And before I forget, the loyalist paramilitary groups were sprung up before the Provisional IRA and their campaign of militancy. The UDA was organized in 1966, and committed its first sectarian murder within weeks. The Provisional IRA wasn't organized until 1969.

So your argument is further discredited and invalidated by history. Thank you for playing.

  • @myipodisblue1 PIRA in 1969 yes (I didn't say PIRA, I said "militant Irish Republican terrorism").....as a result oif the split in the republican movement...who ran all the previous IRA campaigns??..the toothfairy??. I'm not biased at all..I'm RC actually. Is the Loyalist cause not legitimate?? How can you or anyone else say Loyalism is illegitimate yet Republicanism is fair play.....it all depends on your POV....one mans freedom fighter is another mans terrorist....rightly or wrongly..

  • @FTMJarra Exactly! Well said!

  • @Deasylod as a neutral this fuckin clown says, read half the cunts comments.there would not have been any loyalists at all if it wasnt for the rebel scum.IDIOT

  • @TheFlo1690 Loyalists killed catholics before PIRA were formed. Loyalists were always sectarian bigots - that is why they denied catholics civil rights. That is why catholics were burned out their homes. That is why loyalists could never sustain any political direction (whereas Sinn Fein are in government). That is why loyalists hardly ever killed an IRA man or a Republican and preferred to kill catholic civilians. loyalists are mindless bigots on a par with Neo-Nazi's.

  • @quiggzify Loyalists remind me of the KKK, they no better.

  • @TheDavidG54 The KKK is actually dislikes the Orange Order. Whats that say about the Orange Order?

  • bono is a complete cunt....
