  • If anyone has this in any audio format, preferably in lossless but will take an MP3, please send me a message. Thanks.

  • Sorry! I have defended the Elefante era Kansas to the point where many "old school" Kansas fans are irked. One even cussed me out.

But HERE... I must say either Steve Walsh or Warren Ham would have been better singers.

Elefante is AWESOME! I have all his albums including the Mastedon cds... But this version of Portrait is not too good.

  • @JeremiahWitte I'd have to disagree there. John does a stellar job here and that "jazzy" ending is all his own and a really great way to end the song live.

  • tremendous. the best ever Kansas era. his voice is up there with the best of them

  • Elefante has talent and can sing, but it was pointless doing this tour. The 2 best songs from the album, "Inicent On A Bridge" and "End Of The Age", both Livgren songs where not even played

  • I agree w/ you on the two Livgren songs. This was barely the same band musically speaking without violin and all the Elefante/Elefante songs. I believe that Michael Gleason was the additional musician (later in AD, like Warren Ham on the 1982 tour). I've never seen any video from this tour though...
