acousticdan, God is a God of beauty and creativity. It is very biblical for us to perform musical worship with excellence and beauty. If the music is not beautiful, then just speak a prayer of worship. I agree that the main point of worship is not for beauty, but in order to use music (or any art form for that matter) for worship, it MUST be beautiful and done with excellence and talent. I am not saying whether or not this particular performance is beautiful or not.

We praise Him with what we have and He receives it in the spirit it is given. The goal in praise and worship is excellence that points to God. Not perfection that points to the performer.
it is somewhat fast as in too fast..that's the only thing i dont like..the vocals arent too bad...=) it kinda sounds like your just singing the words too fast....and the song is actually a lot slower..
positive criticism is good....i just think i should be given in a positive way to start off with....and maybe in the private email it was....but then that was private...so i was just defending my friend....because i think it was beautiful....and would hate for someone to make you think it wasn't
In the private email they did also apologize for the way they came off originally...but they did not make me think anything that I didn't already think. I was not happy with it to begin with, I'm glad that you and others seem to like it, but it was definitely pitchy in the beginning and I truly do cringe every time I hear it.
That being said, they pointed out something else that I had not even noticed, so it was helpful. :~)
