kind of reminds me of The MAtrix electronica composer from the second movie. Remember the club music? very well done dude. I like what you did with the sound.
It depends on the sound you're going for. In the past, I've liked Morphine and more recently I've been getting into Toxic Biohazard.
Generally, industrial is "supposed" to sound harsh, but I like to make mine more subtle. Anyway, Toxic and Morphine both possess the ability to make ear splitting sounds if that is your heart's desire.
Anyway, those are my favorites. Any synthesizer will work for that. String Studio is similar to Morphine, though it tends to act up in ways that require you to mix at lower volumes, but then again, you should never mix at high volume.
Thanks. Hopefully I'll finish this one song I'm working on. It's going to be very good.
Anyway, sorry about the frequency. It seems you're the second one to comment on it. My newer songs aren't as bad because I mix better (bringing it closer to 0db). Basically, that means the high pitched sound won't be so bad in comparison to the song.
I don't really trust YT enough to take off the fail safe yet. You'd be surprised just how bad YT can mess up a song.
Well, it's either that or hearing the sound of dying giraffes instead of music.
Also, if you're using a sound blaster with software-based "enhancements", or you're using ear buds, that might be why it's so bad. To me, it's very tolerable, but every sound system is different.
For example, X-Fi Chrystalizer might really mess up the treble. When I had a sound blaster, I never used the "enhancements". It just bends stuff out of shape, thus leading to undesirable effects. Same thing with my web cam. The "automatic" setting just mess things up.
I actually think it's too cluttered near the end and, since I have pretty much figured out how to make realistic guitar (now just a matter of faster and more precise composition), my next goals are making accurate violin, wind and brass, so you hit it right on the nail.
I'm going to revisit this song because I think it has potential to be very memorable.
My mixing (and actually composition as well) methods were atrocious back then.
Reorganizing the mixer channels and re-writing the song itself are going to take some serious work.
Thank you for all the criticism over the years.
I make it sound like I don't listen, but I take every piece of advice to heart.

Lot's of emotion in the second verse. As if a truck hit you and the mind racing to catch up to the impact. this reminds me of sudden death.

@solidus927
You mean the part where the guitar kicks in?

it is awesome but there is something that is at the frequency above the mesquito ringtone its killing my ears other than that I liked it

@Musician0at0Work
You mean at the very beginning or throughout the whole song?
I always put one in the beginning to let the horrible YT compression know what the loudest volume is.
manictiger 1 year ago
@manictiger yeah its just at the beginning. Keep up the good work man

I like that at 2:52 the most

what is that high pinched stuff in the starting of your songs?
ilhadosmacacos 2 years ago
Mophine - Additive synthesizer.
I use the high pitched sine wave to make sure You Tube doesn't destroy the louder parts of my songs.

and to make sure youtube will make my ear bleed :D
anyway, your songs are really good xD

Maybe its because im using a horible headset, or its my audio card, whatever.
i have a video about this in youtube to, but yours are much better than mines
ilhadosmacacos 2 years ago
Probably not the audio card. I'm guessing, and correct me if I'm wrong, you have on-board sound. If this is the case, it's probably the headset.
Sorry about that. I wish I didn't need the high pitched sound, but it ensures my songs stay intact.
manictiger 2 years ago
Im not sure if i have a audio card, so i think its what you said :D
ilhadosmacacos 2 years ago
Hehe, that's okay. I can explain. Nearly all computers come with on-board audio.
If yours didn't have it, you wouldn't have sound.
Sound cards are usually bought separately and require you to open the computer up to install.

I like this one, but I think it would sound better with a violin, and maybe some brass instruments with a jazzy bass

I think the wording I was looking for is more fluid and clean composition. Precision isn't the issue, lol.
