My n96 is one of the BADDEST buy ive ever made. Spent about 500 euros on it and it sucks in all ways! SOFTWARE, BODY and other components like headset. The batery cover broke and it doesnt stay put anymore, the slide broke too, the software aint working, it doesnt recognize sim cards and shit like that. PLUS it lags like hell.

PROs: the videos are good, aswell as the photos and the music is clear and loud. But right now my N96 is on the desk, shut down, unused.

@990966 not exactly because there are also ups and down to the xpress music but im more of a music person and the xpress is great for me.. i love the n96 just when i had it it was kind of laggy... and since the 5800 has a touch screen its alot more natural to find apps and to surf the web.. camera i use it and yeah the n96 does win in the camera part..

it depends on what you really want to do with the phone if you like music Xpress is better on speakers they are really loud and great quality on the 5800 5230 same..  the n96 speakers are regular but it still has the 3.5mm jack like the 5800 and the 5230 if you like to listen to your own music by headphones most of your time then it doesnt really matter if so id go for the n96 but still the 5800 is good surfing the web with even testking a message is more simple

If you meant getting rid of the original N95, go ahead, the 8 GB is a really good improvement, not that the original one is bad though.
