"million dollar challenge?" lol! What is that? Every time there is a double blind study, chiropractic kicks the CRAP out of physiotherapy AND medicine! That's why medicine won't fund them anymore, and in fact why they cut the RAND study short.
@tacomadc Look, I understand due to Self-Serving bias and irrational escalation (sunk cost fallacy) you actually believe your bunk science. However, if you wish for me to have any respect for a comment you make on one of my videos at the VERY LEAST. ACTUALLY WATCH MY VIDEO BEFORE COMMENTING.
@pointmanzero, and what's your evidence I didn't watch your video? (I did - most of it). Because if I did I'd obviously fall at your feet and say I haven't helped thousands of people with chiropractic care, where medicine/PT has completely failed?
@tacomadc You don't know what the million dollar challenge is, and I am going after two very specific chiropractic problems...which you don't seem to know.
I treat people all day long where physical therapy has completely failed people, and they get better with chiropractic. You not knowing what your are talking about, and pretending you do is the b*******t.
@tacomadc ya sure, you treat people and they get better because of you.... la la yada yada, I hear the same thing from homeopaths. If your "science" is real then why don't you win the million dollar challenge?
FYI: PT's are also mimicking and learning certain known chiropractic adjustments as part of their training, here at UCLA. So, the question would be... WHY??? - Maybe, because some of the adjustments have a placebo effect or they work? All I know is that if you get a cut it heals. If you have a hernia and its not too severe, it could heal. But, again, your vid is about subluxation and snake oil con artists. Not the people I know.
If it weren't for the chiro, my hernia would not have self healed by pushing it back in with 6 consecutive treatments covered by insurance. Sure beats surgery. Also, this chiro worked along side a medical team at a medical building. So, I don't and never heard of subluxation. Just that adjusting beats surgery any day.
@pointmanzero I'm not stupid. I always follow up with my primary care physician to make sure. My doctor is not surprised at all and in fact, my intention and focus was to avoid surgery and its been gone now for over 10 years. Also, my chiro is with a league of them in California that work along side primary care physicians and will tell you to see your doctor for a full diagnosis. Its not this pretend game with your life that I've observed.
@truvelocity Nobody is calling you stupid. There is a small "science based" chiropractic group. They take a scientific approach to medicine and reject the chiropractic subluxation theory. Sounds like you were lucky enough to find one. Less than 1% of chiros take this approach though.
@pointmanzero Those are the chiros I know. The ones who are working with real doctors. They have found that the adjustments hold better for people who are suffering from back problems than PT's. This is why they are covered by medical insurance.
@pointmanzero Of course he'd laugh out loud. I wouldn't expect any other reaction from a medical doctor who is not familiar with that procedure. But, I had it done, it worked. After that, in 1998, my mother in law had a hernia, and i referred her to one covered by insurance in Spokane Washington. At the age of 70, her's was also pushed back in and it took, several follow ups. Didn't cots her a penny. Covered by insurance. Did a follow up with her doctor. GONE.
@pointmanzero As you should be. I too, am a skeptic. Like I said, I never heard of this subluxation theory crap. But, my focus was to avoid surgery and I did. I'm a stunt woman and very physical and I can't work unless I can move my body and treat it hard. I will never go without a primary care physician to make sure I am safe. But, the chiros I know of are not crazy snake oil people. Laws vary from state to state and the ones i know of work with and alongside medical facilities.
"I wouldn't expect any other reaction from a medical doctor who is not familiar with that procedure."
Love the denigrating tone you imply towards a doctor who is basing his treatments upon facts, statistics and the scientific methods instead of unfalsifiable unproven fantasies used by chiropractors.
Chiropractic = unproven fantasy
BTW your little anecdote: it's JUST an anecdote..
Anecdotes have absolutely no value as proof (besides, "post hoc ergo propter hoc" is still a fallacy).
@truvelocity PT's are not trained to push back hernias. If its too severe, a chiro is supposed to tell you to see your doctor. At least, the ones I know do.
I don't mind you yelling if when you talk normal you are on the same noize level .. otherwise i have to keep playing the volume bar and it sucks. Check Penn and teller's show and learn fucking something.
@pointmanzero I understand that you can't afford a better tool, or that you don't want to get one, but at least work with your voice. There is no need to yell or show tits, we get the point. This is YouTube, not cable TV, we will watch it anyway. ...though, we don't mind tits....
My dad loved chiropractors and spent a lot of money of them. When I was a child I was sent to see several different ones. What I really needed was proper nutrition and exercise. An ethical professional who examined me as a child would have contacted child protective services I think. My body would probably be healthier and taller if not for fools and quacks. Thank you for doing this video.
