  • is the blackberry appworld free?

  • @4lakerschris It's free to use yes but you use your 3G/Wifi to access it. Different applications may need to be purchased but to use the app world itself is free.

  • @O2GuruTV thanks :)

  • what about the 8520?

  • @vicplum123 The same steps can be followed on the 8520. :)

  • Are there any good apps

  • @TheTubinGuy There are plenty of Apps available. You can find a list here > bit#ly/18lmvX (Swap the # symbol for a dot . )

  • @TheTubinGuy Yeah facebook and twitter :)

  • Is it this simple or do you need to make an account like on the iphone app store

  • @TheTubinGuy You can download it straight away as shown in the video, if you want to use Blackberry App World then yes you would need to create a Blackberry App World account.

  • I thought you had to pay for the package...?

  • @Jenamelia123 Blackberry App World is free. :)

  • what do you do if when you click download its coming up and saying sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support blackberry app world?

  • @manycough Check the software you are running on the device. You may need to update it. To check the software go to Menu > Options > About. The latest software is 6.0.0.600. If you need to update it connect your phone to your PC/Laptop and download the latest software through the Blackberry website.

  • @O2GuruTV do you have to pay for blackberry messenger?

  • @harmless1231 Blackberry Messenger (BBM) would be included in your Blackberry Data Plan.

  • how much does it cost?

  • @diamonddust1997 Nothing. Blackberry App World is free to download. Any data used would be taken from your allowance or charged at standard rates.

  • thanks!

  • if i dont have a dataplan can i still use my home wifi to browse the web on my curve ?

  • @wanderer94 You may still have issues as the Blackberry data plan provisions your phone for use on the Blackberry (RIM) Servers. Even when on Wi-Fi you still need to connect to Blackberry Servers to use any internet based apps.

  • wil this work on a 8520?

  • @LukeCullen123abc456 Yes it will although the steps may be slightly different depending on what software version you are running on the device. :)

  • @O2GuruTV what like o2, virgin media, orange?

  • @LukeCullen123abc456 No, not the service provider, the software running on the device. You can check what software you have on your phone by going to Menu > Settings > About.

  • @O2GuruTV reply the battery i aint got another battery :(

  • @GrhymeProofOffical You don't need another battery. All you need to do is remove your battery for the 4-5 mins and place the same one back in. It's important to remove the battery while the phone is on. :)

  • @O2GuruTV how do i get an update for bb ?

  • @GrhymeProofOffical You can update your device through either Blackberry Desktop Manager or the Blackberry website. :)

  • i cant connect to the server? PLease i beg u to help me :(

  • @Pascalletje001 First of all check you have a Blackberry data plan on your account. This is needed to access Blackberry servers. If you don't have one then it would need to be added. Next perform a battery pull. Remove the battery from the device while it is on. After 4-5 minutes place the battery back in and switch on. Try following the steps in the video again.

  • @O2GuruTV

Before i had a HTC, I bought my friends blackberry. I think i need the data plan. But is it possible to change my subscription? or do i have to wait?

  • @Pascalletje001 You would need a data plan to use Blackberry internet services. You can change your tariff online via My O2 or our Customer service team can do this for you. :)

  • @O2GuruTV

How much will it cost? :S

  • @Pascalletje001 It depends. Are you Pay Monthly or Pay and Go? You can find all tariffs and bolt on prices here > o2#co#uk/tariffs/ (Swap the # symbols for dots . )

  • @O2GuruTV

I just want to have the blackberry services, i allready have an subscription which gives me 3g internet. I only wonder if it will go away if i pay the price on your site. :S

  • @Pascalletje001 To use Blackberry internet services you need a Blackberry Tariff/Bolt on. This is different to normal data as it provisions your account to access RIM's servers.

  • @O2GuruTV I have a blackberry curve and app world, i just dont know how to donwload the app world 3.0 as no message came up to tell me there was an update? please help!

  • it came up with a message saying the app is illigel???

  • @Haydn3600 Try a battery pull. (Remove the battery from the phone while it is on) After 3-4 mins place the battery back in and turn on. Try downloading again. Make any difference?

  • Thxs it worked!! :D

  • it says it there may be fees in relation to downloading, i dont want to pay for app world though. :S

  • @Jonezy95x Blackberry App World is free. The charges are in relation to the data used when downloading. If you have a data allowance on your tariff then the data used will be taken from there.

  • i didnt find the blackberry app world, what do i do?

  • @mrshalola Are you typing in the correct address on your internet browser? This must be typed exactly as shown in the video. Are you able to access the internet at all?

  • @O2GuruTV yes yes. I've done all the steps.. and it said download complete but i cant find it anywhere

  • @mrshalola Have you checked both the applications folder and the downloads folder?

  • @O2GuruTV yes.. its not there.

  • @mrshalola Try performing a battery pull. (Remove the battery from the device while it's powered on.) After 3 mins place the battery back in and turn back on. When you are downloading are you doing this via the mobile network or via Wi-Fi? Have you tried both? Does this make any difference? Also check the software you are running on the device. (Go to Menu - Options - About) Is it up to date? The latest software for the 9300 is 6.0.0.600.

  • @O2GuruTV I tried the battery pull.. and guess what IT WORKED at last i found it. Thanks man! you really helped me here. great job :)

  • @mrshalola No problem, glad to hear it's sorted. :)

  • I have the Blackberry Social plan with Koodo. But can I use WiFi to download the app world? And can i use wifi to download apps from the app world?

  • @TheDarkReignX If you have a valid Blackberry data plan then yes you can. You can download apps via the mobile web or through Wi-Fi.

  • THANKS

  • how to put yahoo search bar in browser?

  • @jwcervania There isn't a way to manually add the search bar, having it depends on the version of software installed on the handset. As an alternative you can set your browser homepage to m.yahoo.com which has a yahoo search bar at the top of the page.

  • @O2GuruTV i have a blackberry curve 8520 and it has os 5.0., what os do you have?

  • @jwcervania We have a device here on 5.0.0.681 that has the search bar. This is an older version of OS5 that is shown. There have been several updates since then. The latest version of OS5 is 5.0.0.977.

  • @O2GuruTVmy blackberry curve 8520 os 5.0.0.1036.

  • @jwcervania The version you have may not have the search bar included.

  • @O2GuruTV can i download the version with the search bar?

  • @jwcervania We wouldn't recommend rolling back your OS. Did you try setting your browser homepage as yahoo? That has a search bar on it.

  • @emdc123 Had to delete your post due to language used but try performing a battery pull (Remove the battery while the device is on) Once the handset is back on try downloading the App again.

  • it said it failed after it was finished

  • @AMD721425 Are you trying to download it via the mobile internet or through a WiFi connection? Try a battery pull (Remove the battery while the device is on). Then try connecting to WiFi to download it.

  • i downloaded it, and it say's "the data service not operational" any help?

  • @MegaElitez, Try downloading the Blackberry App World on a WiFi connection, in case you were trying on a 3G/2G connection previously. Also make sure you've an up to date version of the software installed.

  • @O2GuruTV thanks man, really helped :)

  • @O2GuruTV same thing with me it says the data service not operational :((( and what u mean i have connected with wifi and i downloaded it with wifi then it still says that help me

  • @tongogta Hello. What software version are you running on the device? It has to be v4.5 or above. Do you have a Blackberry data plan on your account? Are you able to browse the internet on the device?

  • @O2GuruTV hello i don't know nothing i just know that i am able to go on the inter net internet surfing nothing else i can't even call message or email

  • @tongogta Ok - if your not sure why not visit one of our Gurus in store? They can have a look at the device for you. You can book an appointment through here - guru.force.com/

  • @O2GuruTV k thx

  • after the language selection when i click download it says error page could not be found

  • @henrules10 That's very strange, we've tested it here and it seems fine. Have you tried it when connected by another method, e.g. Wi-Fi / 3G?

  • @O2GuruTV I connected it to my wifi and still no

  • @henrules10 I'm guessing, you've restarted your handset. Is your OS up to date? (tiny .cc/n9g10)

  • @O2GuruTV yes, i think it might be because i dont have a data plan, but i have no idea what that is

  • @henrules10 Our customer services team can add it on your tariff, I'd suggest you speak to them.

  • THANKS MAN!!!! :)

  • Finally a simple one

  • Awesome

  • Cheers Mann, That helped alot Great vid :)
