All 3 of these giants didn’t flake, and it seems like Underwood's Prez might. I also take it account the first episode where he had a fearful look when he thought the plane was going to kill him, his family, and all his friends in Miami, but to me, he had a "Wiliam Wallace" face on, compared to the end of this preview. So I kind of expected more.

Then again, it could end up being just a dream sequence, and that would make all of my points moot lol.

Of course, none of the last two were dealing with an alien invasion, but the last guy I'm going to mention did. James Whitmore (Bill Pullman) from Independence Day had a whole bunch of horrible things happen to him, and near the end of the movie HE FLEW A FREAKING FIGHTER JET ALONGSIDE THE REST OF THE WORLD AND HELP DEFEAT THE ALIENS.

The classic tough guy president James Marshall (Harrison Ford) from Air Force One fought back almost single-handedly after terrorist seized his plane, and even when Gary Oldman was pounding him, Marshall still flat out told him he wasn't going to do squat. Of course, Oldman then threatened to kill his daughter, and Marshall temporarily changed his mind-but that was to save family member-not himself, which was totally selfless and the only time to relent to villians of that ilk.

24 fans remember that Allison Taylor defiantly stared down a dictator after he seiged The White House in 24 (he even slapped her and threatened to cut out her daughter's eyes) and she still insulted him and didn't flinch.

Omg, will they assasinate Martinez? Or is that a dream sequence? I have to admit, if it's the former, forgive me if this makes me sound like an a-hole, but he looks really really wimpy. I mean, it kind of destroys my image of him as a strong tough guy through out the show, and most legendary fictional presidents who are heroic are definitely not the types who scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" for their lives.

Sorry, I've been watching The Event since episode 1 and it did initially get good but the show went down hill around the middle of the season. The two hours special that aired this week just insulted my intelligence. I hope this show burns to the ground. Trying to be like 24, without the goos stuff.
