not to be racist...but black women don't make a magazine better. just like white people don't make a magazine better. i guess it just bothers me that the black comunity still feels like they have to prove themselves. when are people gonna get over it? when i was little, i never heard anything about them being discriminated against. as i got older i learned that they felt looked down apon and i was reallyt surprised...

I know they are discriminated against still to this day but I don't know anyone personaly who has a problem with them. Infact I'm a huge Tyra fan...I'm not sure where I'm going with this so I should probably stop trying to explain :/ sorry

I bought all 4 cover issues! And then 20 minutes after buying it, I decided what the hell and bought an additional 4 cover issues which means I own a total of 8 issues! I spent 3 months in Italy around 2 years ago and let me tell all of my sistah's something...GO TO ITALY!! First off, THEY LOVE BLACK WOMEN! I thought I was a celebrity because they were falling all over themselves, both men and women, to meet me. And at random places like sitting outside of a cafe or walking down the street.

Goddess this was good, but would be better is for you to promote and sell your own magazine with your own people and others if they so choose. Can anyone tell me where I might purchase a copy of that issue? I know Borders, Barnes & Noble or somebody can backorder magazine issues. July 10th wasn't even that long ago. For some reason, my local Borders didn't carry that issue among all the other foriegn publications they have regularly and I've tried googling, but all I get are blogs. I don't need any more opinions, just info on successful purchases. Anybody?...Anybody?...

I commend Vogue for doing this black issue but I was quite disappointed. I envisioned this issue to feature up and coming black models or new models but instead Steve Meisel chose models who have already made it: Alek, Tyra, Iman...These models are great but I would have liked to see lesser known models. I saw this as an opportunity to give the new breed of black models their big break. Sessile, Jourdan, Chanel are great but there are other models out there who should have been picked.
