not trying to be anal, but it is actually the seawall at Bill Baggs State Park, you can see the mid-portion of the lighthouse (prior to it being painted white) at :46 - :48 - also, the vegetation is no longer there as Hurrican Andre (1992) blew it all off the island and they only allow native vegetation now...
I saw this episode today for the first time on a long replay and it brought back such memories and some new information I didn't know. Like that Joel Surnow of 24 fame was a key director on Miami Vice!?!?!? WOW, talk about a genius!
This is what made the first couple seasons of Vice so epic. Even the small "character-based" scenes were shot so well that they could have fit in a feature film. There's a lot conveyed in this single scene: Crockett's relationship with Caroline, his ambivalence towards Rodriguez's condition, and his fear of going into the unknown (going into witness protection).
Good theme song. This made me cry. I was born in 1986, when Miami Vice was considered to be major hit at the time. Things have changed a lot today. I wished I lived in the 80's. Women back then actually cared for men. Today its hard finding the right woman. But on the topic of this theme. I love it. 80'S all the way. It was my time too. The MTV era where music meant something to everyone. Thank you for posting it. Ive got tears in my eyes to this song.
@LLOYDAIR you are right about the 80's, I was 20 in 1980. I don't think we will ever see a time like that again. Really was a special and different time!
Those were the 80s.....only Schwarzenegger and Stallone had muscles....if you see a Movie or TV Series today EVERBODY has a sixpack and a athletic biceps.
@metroid5454 Well he cant hold down a relationship and he eventually divorces caroline and his last wife meets a bitter end. A cool dude but a bit messed up
Very nice! thanks for uploading... good old memories... I was as old as that kid back then, my older brothers used to watch this in Dubai back then!!! LoL, noticed something, check 0:52 hairstyle and then 1:13!!! found it :) ?

Crockett's kid would be in his 30s now, probably a Miami Vice cop just like his dad.
