@shango02005 it's not a custom shop model; just an old start. Andy Aledort has said that SRV actually played that guitar once and told him he really liked it. how cool is that?

I get a pretty much similar tone off my strat, but mines custom as well :)

A Stratocaster, an Ibanez Tube Screamer (TS-9), and a tube amp have worked very well for me in getting that SRV tone.
