@gheringhap well, electronic equipments tht can transmit or receive signals are not permitted as it might interfere with the cockpit's communications with the ATC. Camera and camcorders are fine. But mobile phones which transmits and receives signals is prohibited.

Qantas so bad?? I have found them to be good, actually one of the best. I fly often to the USA and I have found QF to be excellent, my flights onward to other cities in America are quite another story.
