this man once said in a interview with opray that if we really wanted to understand him listen to this song it was the most honest true song he ever wrote and sang. this must have been a window inside his soul. a time in young boys life that being a child was something he was cheated out of and he realized as adult he could never be able to go back and enjoy being a child because that time was gone forever and nothing in this world could give that back .
Why didn't we pay attention to his songs? He was telling us that needed help? It it so sad that we focus so much on the negative things about MJ. He was just a hurting boy in a man's body that never dealt with his issues. MJ was always performing all of his life; all he knew was performance and not the real MJ. He did not have a real identity. It is just so sad to know that he died unhappy, not knowing himself and recieving the genuine help he needed.
REMEMBER the message in his songs - spread the LOVE and UNITY he talked and sang about. Do his memory justice and help to make the world a better place.

For YEARS I was hoping that someone close to him would HEAR his CRY FOR HELP and ANSWER it. Sadly it never happened during his lifetime. However we can now carry Michael's message out into the world - to make it a better place.
EXACTLY!!! I remember him saying this to Oprah that whenever he's offstage he's always lonely. It shows that he never really knew himself, had true and meaningful friends, nor any of the average things that drives us. All his friends were animals or small kids cause "they didn't judge him or want anything but to give their love". So sad; cheated out of childhood as kid but worse, cheated out of happiness and love as an adult. RIP sweet Michael.

Makes you want to reach in and take him out of this video and tell him how special he is and all will be OK. Michael had a deep insight into the wonderment and needs of a child, and did so much to bring joy to so many kids. He related better to kids because they don't have ulterior motives. Tthank you for this wonderful video. Listening to this beautiful song around clips of a young Michael breaks my heart. I still cry secretly as if he were one of my own. He missed out on the first part of his life and the sadness never left him. I'd give anything to have him back with a chance to get healthy again. At least he knew the joy of being a father, if not a child. I will never forgive those who could have helped him, but didn't. Michael...you are OUR prince forever.

His death was so unexpected and I've been sad on and off, every day and hour for the past weeks but he's recorded SO much!
It's sad to think that we'll never get to see him perform again, heartbreaking that fans won't be able to hear another album.
It's unfortunate that gossipers cannot be controlled, but it isn't any people with good intentions faults.
It really saddens (sometimes angers) me though.
Michael will always be a part of my childhood and I love his music.

I agree whole-heartedly. This is such a sad song - but very telling of MJ. I always loved his music - but to discover his youth - wow - what a great performer! Yet so sad that his life became such a joke and he suffered so...I hope he has found peace. MJ forever!

I think Michael was just born different...a child genius basically.And that made him into an easy target for people who wanted to profit from him,and yes his own family was the first to do that to him.He was treated more like a commodity than a human being.
And then he made himself into a product,but we should never forget he was a person with feelings too...That's exactly what the media refuses to admit still.

All he really wanted was something sincere and real. He's had girls chasing him since he was a child himself. he's never had that special lesson we all learn: how to develop relatioships. Sad. That's why those kids were important to him; they were the only real relationships in his life.

He teaches parents to enjoy the simplest things in life. I always felt bad for him because he really miss having a childhood with having to go to practice hours on end, then go concerts & other gigs when children in his neighborhood would go out and play. The other thing is he was SO famous that he really couldn't do the things we take for granted like go out shopping without getting crowds in your face. I am not surprise & knew he had a drug problem especially the last few years. Poor guy :(

Michael missed out a whole lot of things when he was growing up. he didnt have time to play ball or just chill with friends or even kids his age. he grew up pretty fast and once he became an adult he wanted to be a child again. Poor thing he didnt have a wonderful childhood and i love this song. The song is coming from his heart....R.I.P Mihael your in a better place.

this man once said in a interview with opray that if we really wanted to understand him listen to this song it was the most honest true song he ever wrote and sang. this must have been a window inside his soul. a time in young boys life that being a child was something he was cheated out of and he realized as adult he could never be able to go back and enjoy being a child because that time was gone forever and nothing in this world could give that back .

Why didn't we pay attention to his songs? He was telling us that needed help? It it so sad that we focus so much on the negative things about MJ. He was just a hurting boy in a man's body that never dealt with his issues. MJ was always performing all of his life; all he knew was performance and not the real MJ. He did not have a real identity. It is just so sad to know that he died unhappy, not knowing himself and recieving the genuine help he needed.

This song is not about that. He is talking about the hurt that endured as a child. He is saying that people are quick to judge him instead of loving him. He was trying to tell us that he is the way he is due to his childhood. That was his way of crying out for help, but society failed to recognize. Can't you see he was not happy. He was just searching for love. All he did was perform and people loved him 4 that, but all he wanted was to b loved because of who he is, not for what he does.

For YEARS I was hoping that someone close to him would HEAR his CRY FOR HELP and ANSWER it. Sadly it never happened during his lifetime. However we can now carry Michael's message out into the world - to make it a better place.

EXACTLY!!! I remember him saying this to Oprah that whenever he's offstage he's always lonely. It shows that he never really knew himself, had true and meaningful friends, nor any of the average things that drives us. All his friends were animals or small kids cause "they didn't judge him or want anything but to give their love". So sad; cheated out of childhood as kid but worse, cheated out of happiness and love as an adult. RIP sweet Michael.
