I too worked at bilsthorpe from 1967 to 1993,this was never going to happen this was always a pr excercise ,i was a nacods union delegate & went to many meetings etc & you could see straight through the plans it was never a going concern the management especially the senior manager had his head up his back side ,
I worked at Bilsthorpe from 1979 to 1996 and remember this video when it was given to us all. Most of us at the time thought it was hilarious and we'd have the only power station in the world that was built on castors so it could be wheeled from pit to pit. I'm supprised that there's nothing on the internet about the tragedy of the roof fall, those responsible for that were never held to account
