  • k..i dont vote,i hate politics..but i do believe Obama should get a 2nd term, he walked into such a mess.the 2nd term will define this good man...maybe i will vote this time, which will be the first time in my life.im 38, im native, and i see this man..Obama did change health care..im living proof! 7 surgery's and monthly visits to doctors..i pay NOTHING!..its cut and dry.however i just e-mailed Mike and challenged him to come see me im 5 hours north of him so i can throw positive in this issue

  • Obama said ENOUGH....but now continues the same thing - he has not ended war in Iraq, asked for more money to fight in Iraq and send 40,000 more troops to Afghanistan. . . .so where is his ENOUGH?

Moore is a big fat emo kid

  • What do you think is going to happen when you let go of a bear that you had in a headlock for 4 years

  • Some one came and said that he will chase away the bear. . . but the only reason why he did that is because he himself is a bigger, hungrier bear.

Obama is going spend America into Oblivion. His bailout plan which went to banks and CEOs did nothing to save the economy.

I wonder if Michael Moorer will give him s**t and verbal abuse for wasing America's money in his next movie. Something tells me, though, that he won't do that or severely minimize insulting his socialist buddy Obama.

  • Its not even been 1year since Obama took over the office. Then, how come you don't say anything to Bush Administration that didn't do anything for 8 FULL YEARS???

  • who says that I didn`t?

I think most politicians are scum - republican or democrat

  • @sinxjohn92ab Bush is gone?! stop blaming him its fucking stupid no one is going to fix this country

  • He's Working on it. He just has to get the bill through the dumbass republicans in the Senate and House of Representatives. DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT POLITICS, YOU ******?

  • my god, the world needs more micheal moores

  • we are so fortunate that in australia our government gives us the responsability to vote (everyone HAS to vote) voting means you care, you think, you analyze, you get out of your comfy spot and make a decision. because no matter what, a president WILL BE elected, just because you decide not to vote it doesnt mean you guys will go without a president. SO BE RESPONSIBLE AND VOTE. BE WISE AND VOTE OBAMA!

  • @kittenbombon u're glad u're forced 2 do something? I prefer having the right 2 do it, not the obligation.

  • You can apply the same thing to far right, and even more so X10.

  • Obviously You will think this because You are a Liberal. How do You feel about how anti-free speech the Liberal's on college campuses are?

  • why would a true american every care what the color of the skin of a candidate running for office or a woman , is it the american thing to do i dont care i just want america to win

  • They can fix it ........FLA

  • Now for the rest of the story. Click on "View All" under video responses above. Find and play the video response contributed by "1293drive" - thanks.

  • lol, Michael's got everything right. What the fuck is wrong with people... Why can't they believe this guy? He's doing nothing but telling the truth; albeit the cold, hard truth! Mike's seriously such a terrific asset to the film world and the political world!

  • I would have liked Moore to have answered the race question better.

Did he answer it at all???

  • The sad reality is yes, there are people who for no other reason whatsoever than the pigment of Barack Obama's skin will not vote for him. It's called bigotry, sadly it exist. Some people value their bigotry and hate more than they do their jobs, homes, money, security, and very life. Sad but true. Just be thankful that's such a small minority that it isn't enough of them to even matter.

  • Fact of the matter for me anyway is not race, but more business as usual. Obama promises a lot of change and so on but in reality he will say anything necessary to get elected. In essence he is the lesser of two evils but nevertheless I am so disenchanted with either candidate that I will stay home on election day.

  • Well that's the beautiful thing about American you have that choice. But I'd definitely advise against not voting. Even if you vote for Ralph Nader, or just vote for you local representatives and leave the Presidential spot blank, get out and vote it's your right. Plus, you know what they say... Don't Vote, Don't Complain!

  • A lot of white people are actually unaware of racism because they don't have to experience it for themselves and they aren't racist themselves. As a black man I can say for sure that racism exists as well as sexism and that's why this election is so close. If people were voting on the issues alone then Obama would be destroying McCain in the polls.

  • i agree, and if Obama was actually black he wouldnt stand a chance-which is truely sad. Just the same as Lewis Hamilton in Formula 1, he only made it because he´s half white this makes me made, as a black motorsport fan(one of the few!)

  • im wondering how come he didnt get behind kucinich

  • Michael Moore is so right on! He speaks truth to power and we're truly lucky to have him voicing deep democratic truths. He is an emblem of democracy in action. We need to write, publish, speak truth to power, and be as vocal as he; let's take this democracy back!

  • Bush = Iraq 2003

    McCain = Iran 2010

Bush = $350 million dollars a day spent on Iraq.

McCain = MORE THAN $350 million dollars a day spent on Iran.

Bush = 4155 dead US military in Iraq.

McCain = MORE THAN 4155 dead US military in Iran

  • You forgot Georgia

  • I agree with freedom of choice but keep it quiet just like they keep killing other countries babies .

  • Republicans are stupid. Democrats are stupid. Independents are stupid... everyone is stupid greedy and crazy. This country is out of control and nobody is talking about this... greed hate violent thought and aggression is commonplace. Nobody give s shit about each other here...nobody cares anymore. Love is a word that makes people gag and kindness is considered lame here. The Unites States has lost its soul if it ever had one...

  • Yes, America seems to be more about "me and only me", and forgetting about everyone else.

    I find it tragic.

Of course, it's the Rupublicans who have ruined and slowly dragged this country down.

The party, and everyone supporting them...they really need to be moved to an area called "America B", while considerate people who dislike wars, and are for the PEOPLE, are named "America A".

    I'm in America A :3

  • America is on the long path to self destruction because its more concerned with global domination then looking after its people!

  • If you want to make sure McCain is elected, keep having Michael Moore make public appearances like this one.

He's a terrible spokesman for any cause.

  • wake up

  • Michael Moore is so cute.

  • WHAT? LOL......

  • Sure, that's because Obama is an intelligent, man full of ideas that can fix this country, and McLame was a mental midget even when he was younger. Now he's completely out of it and if he is elected president will continue flushing the US down the toilet like Bush has been doing for the last 8 years.

  • This guy seriously suffers from a tunnel vision. Everything Obama says and does is godlike and everything McCain says and does is pure evil!

  • yeah. He's asking you people to vote a black man? he must be crazy

  • are you serious?

  • i was trying to be sarcastic but i made a mistake because is not funny at all. Sorry for that.

  • HAHA,Its hard to pick up on sarcasm reading YouTube comments, nice try though.

  • Is harder to pick up the sarcasm there because of the people that can take serious that comment. Now come on, we didnt group up on nazi germany right?

  • That's because everything McCain says and does pretty much is pure evil. You can almost see the little puppet strings coming off his joints and up to where the richest 1% of America who fund his campaign are controlling him.

  • well i own a business, and because I employ 10 people i guess that makes me one of the richest 1% (i brought home 35,000 last year fyi) so my $150.00 donation must mean I get to make the decisions eh?

  • 35 grand? might put u in top percentage in thailand, phillipines maybe..who are u kidden?

  • that was sarcasm. i have to assume you've never encountered it.

  • it's impossible to argue with sarcastic people. see mccain/palin campaign for examples.

  • ... If you really think $150.00 is going to help you're an effing moron. What I'm talking about is the CEOs of large companies like Diebold, who give bonuses to a good portion of their employees, as long as they use the bonus to give their canidate the legal limit on donations.

  • ohhhhh. so NOW it's the EMPLOYEE'S of the richest 1% of americans? make up you mind son.

  • You're either legally retarded or trying to ignore the facts like every other republican in office.

  • The reason being that I give a perfectly clear explanation and you twist it or misread it to suit your argument. IE: A contribution of $150 doesn't mean much. A CEO of a corporation gives out bonuses to every one of a select group of employees, on the grounds that they use said money to donate the maximum amount legally possible for individual donations to the republican candidate. To put that in perspective, let's say I'm the CEO of Enron or Diebold, that's $2300 times however many people.

  • Furthermore, it is perfectly legal to have your children contribute to a candidate, even if they are not of legal age to vote, so that's another $2300 each. It's a $2300 limit per individual person.

  • No roachmobile I like successful people. I am part of the middle class and I want the chance to move up but I won't get that with Obama/Biden. I am not pro war. I believed the same info the rest of the world saw back in 2002 on Iraq. You have been so sadly brainwashed by the DailyKos machine that you can't think for yourself.

"I'm trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it.

  • yes michael, we do have people that would behave that way. shocking, i know.

  • MM is right, Democrats are too nice. They need to call neo-cons on their bullshit every single time, which should give them a lot to say.

  • well, the problem is, they are beholden to many of the same corporate interests. that's why they havemn't been an actual opposition party. Tired of voting for rich corporate crooks? votenader.orgasm

  • Mike is a truth patriot speaking truth to power

& Barak is right when he says ENOUGH I have had enough of the last 8 yrs to last me a lifetime & while John McCain served proudly however he has voted against Vets at every opportunity We need to make sure our vets are taken care of & Barak wants to do it & McCain doesnt & that alone should keep him out of the white house

  • This fat ass is such a fucking fake! Did you know he owns Haliburton stock. He stays in 5 star hotels and then does his press interviews in a days inn.

  • He owns Haliburton stock in order to attend the AGM's. Greenpeace does the same thing. So what if he stays in 5 star hotels. You must have something against people who are successful.

Look, we can chalk you up as pro war, pro draft, pro financial collapse of the middle class.

  • Obama 08 and thanks for your help, Mike. People might not always WANT to hear the things Michael Moore says...He pulls no punches and speaks effectively in language everyone can understand. However, people NEED to hear what he is saying. This man is a great patriot and history will prove it out.

  • Michael Moore is awesome .

  • That's a very good point. It would be better to avoid any mention of McCain's military service and instead, stick directly to his platform.

  • When did Michael Moore become such an important political analist? Just because he's made a few propaganda films doesn't constitute a genuine knowledge of anything in the political realm.

  • When did some illiterate douchebag become qualified to analYZe Michael Moore?

  • Learn how to spell analize in the proper case letters. Just goes to show how elite you think you and Moore are with proof that you're not. Do you write your name in crayon or is that too safisticated for you too?

  • sophisticated post.

  • You got me. I spelled sophisticated wrong! Ha! Ha! What do you expect from a 9th grader?

  • enough of what?

    what's he gonna do?

    He's already lied

    Telecom Immunity for one

  • Great guy Michael Moore, I think 100% of the Europeans wants to get rid of the warlord called Bush. Obama is what the US needs, not the old uncle McCain who probably will change nothing but make things worse for the rest of the world...

  • Yesssss

  • MM has definitely mellowed but his heart is in the right place. Don't discriminate, search for the truth, express an opinion. This is what America stands for. It's not shameful for him to express an opinion, it's his, and all of our responsibility - right or wrong. More the point, it's shameful for us not to fight, not to question what we are fed by the mainstream media and not to take action to make sure that we know what we're buying when we vote. There's too much at stake not to.

  • MM, how much did the CFR and the bilderberg group pay you? why are you trying to fool us? you know what being democrat is all about, you know who stands behind the parties: the Bilderberg group, CFR, the trilateral commission. what change are you talking about? you are a fucking traitor scum! i hope people are going to wake up to this fact!

  • I love how Republicans always quote the same taglines. They are stupid little sheep that can't think for themselves and repeat the propaganda talking points. They all disgust me.

  • Try to read som books and newspapers.

  • try to learn how to spell properly.

  • Try using your brain.

  • try getting a life you moron.

  • I can see why america need change. I almost feel sorry for you.

  • It' "America needs change"(not need) take some English lessons asshole.

  • we dont need change anyway, everything is fine.

  • haha I can see that. Blind like all the Bush jugent.

  • American politics is very complicated. I saw you were from Norway, very different with a constitutional monarchy than here.

  • Yes i know. But we do read american newspapers, Tv an blogs here in norway and we do sopeak with american people.

  • Because you are part of the Bush jugent you dont have to rude.

  • apologize for calling you an "asshole", been in a bad mood today..plus I dont know you that well to be calling you that. I'm just not a big fan of Michael Moore thats all. take care.

  • Thats alrights. Everyone can have a bad day. I should moderate som off my coments too.

  • peace;)

  • Peace;)

  • I wish I could vote for Bristol Palin. I love dirty sluts with worthless parents.

  • God save us from McBush

  • I am in huge agreement with Moore and a lot that he stands for (truth and justice in our government) but he didn't handle that race question well. We can say all we can about the "times a changin'" but he needs to face the truth. Race shouldn't be important but every time someone in the media says "his race is unimportant," they make it important. Had Larry King not even asked the question, Moore wouldn't have looked like a "typical, naive Obama supporter"

  • I'm very angry with McCain (K. Rove) for using pictures of 9/11 during the RNC! Over 3,000 people died, Americans died, & the republican party used them for his damn campaign to win points. It's disgraceful and I wish someone would call him out in the media!

  • HE KILLEd IT in what century was this Poll taken in???WOW he does prove a point its 2008 and some americans still judge people by there skin

  • It's 3 AM... (the Phone's not ringing), but you can't answer ... Have you questioned some government?

  • I never liked McBush. I grew up as a 'Navy Brat' and I know that he is a murderous SOB. (no criticism of his mother) How many Vietnamese civilians did he bomb into bloody bits before he got shot down? Hundreds? Thousands? After the little accident on the Forrestal, 134 of his shipmates were dead or injured (possibly by his stupidity) and a report exists that he would quit his bombing runs. How does this make him a hero?!!!At least my dad never shot anyone with anything other than a camera.

  • "What makes Michael Moore angry?" Jeez, it's embarrassing to see just how much they try to make Moore look like a raging lunatic. Even if you disagree with him, he's clearly not angry here.

  • DOWN WITH IT!!! DOWN WITH IT!!!

  • McCain is a war hero, but being a POW doesn't qualify him for being president

  • Well put. I really used to like the guy, too. I feel sorry for him, seeing how much he's changed to appeal to the far right.

  • McCain is a douchebag and i don't give flying fuck about his war stories, take your vietnam and shove it up your ass

  • Amen to that.

  • What is arrogant about Barack?! Is it because he is an educated, well-spoken black man? So that makes him arrogant. Racism does still exist and yes plenty of people will not vote for Barack because of his race. I think the majority of Hilary's finatic PUMA'S ARE RACIST!! How can you choose to support a Republican if you are Democrat when Hilary and Obama basically stood for and wanted for America the same thing. I mean get over it already. She Lost!! Lets get behind the winner..

  • "What is arrogant about Barack?

Is it because he is an educated, well-spoken black man?"

Arrogant to a loser is anyone in a suit... anyone with an education, good grammar or just nice teeth.

Without qualifying it the poster is just revealing they are a cracker.

What MM does fail to address is that Obama said he'd send in more troops.

How would that "finish the job"?

  • McCain won't double-speak, change his agenda, or emulate the last 8 years? Does no one who disagrees, on either side, have google or wiki? With McCain, there's an obvious track record you can find...which is unfortunate for him. Arrogance Obama might have, but I'd rather someone who's hungry for change than someone who's fat with the comfort of being G-Dubs doppleganger.

  • LMAO Look at all those people (about 35) in the bowling ally. GO MCCAIN/PALIN

  • So were going to compare lets compare the DNC to th RNC hmmm yeah that's what I thought GO OBAMA/BIDEN

  • if obama doesnt win the election i might kill myself ... and im canadian !!! 8 years of horseshit is more than enough ... need another bill clinton but you all have the opportunity for better ! OBAMA !!

  • ENOUGH! Republicans are bull$hit. SEND THEM HOME!! Cast them out of Washington DC!!

  • Where is he from? Obviously out of touch with the south, and of course beyond that too. Of course it is sad, and should be a different century, but yes, Mr. Moore. Unfortunately having a black become president, in this country, in this century, is a hard concept to accept for some of our citizens. They may LOVE his ideas and be highly impressed, but just can't bring themselves across that barrier in their minds. I believe there are many more like that than people would think.

  • Put the "race" aside. "Diversity" is what made this country strong. If you were born in this country, then you should thank your forefathers for coming and stepping into this country with a dream which made you an American. That's the "American" that he's refering to.

  • I agree, I think Moore stumbled on that one. But 45 years after the civil rights movement, it is still a good question. Is harboring old racist ideas, or tacitly claiming they're not in fact racist, an American ideal anymore?

  • We embrace our origins. But we are also one-minded individuals. Those with similar ideals belong together.

  • If a lotta African-Americans vote 4 Obama just cuz he's black than I think there should be no surprise that a lotta people will vote against him cuz of that.I think both would speak of prejudgment. Why I would vote against Obama is not cuz his black but cuz he's arrogant & I don't like people like that.He has 0 experience & would screw up America.I wonder if Moore would make a film about how Obama screwed up the country if he were President (which he will not fortunately).I doubt MM would do that

  • Anyone running for President requires some arrogance.

Experience counts for how it's going to be applied. If you like the past eight years of policy decisions, McCain's your man.

But then he's arrogant, too. If you're really that worried about Obama screwing up the country, the only things you could be basing that on are ignorance or that you don't really like his plans at all.

  • Don't confuse arrogance w/ confidence.U need confidence not arrogance. And unfortunately Obama has the latter big time.Plus think of it as this.If a cocky person came up to u & said arrogantly that he can throw the ball into the basket from center court in 1 attempt, would u believe him (if u were completely unaware of his basketball skills)?

  • OK, so what's the difference between arrogance and confidence? And why is one necessarily better than the other?

And why should I care whether he says he can shoot hoops? I only heard about it when I watched the Youtube of him actually making the shot.

  • Arrogance is excessive pride that often stems from a lack of confidence.A person can become arrogant to compensate for the insecurities that he/she may have.Confident people know their strengths and weaknesses while arrogant people tend to forget their weaknesses. That's why they may often say that they can do everything and anything even if they couldn't.Plus u can see an arrogant person from miles away.U could differentiate between a confident and an arrogant person just by their manner.

  • Has John McCain ever said he could do anything he couldn't demonstrate? That seems to be the only basis for your arrogant vs. confident argument.

I would gently point out that electability based on "manner" is pretty far afield of policy issues and the state of living in America. Unless you think it takes a non-arrogant person to actually fix what's broken, or you think nothing needs to change.

  • I don't support either of the 2.But it's true that McCain is more of a straight talker. He will not promise things just to get elected. The President America needs should be confident & not helpless or arrogant. All of us need confidence otherwise we wouldn't accomplish anything.Arrogance is excessive pride of one's self.If u don't understand the difference between a confident & an arrogant person then Google it.The 2 have nothing to do w/ each other + arrogance is a vice in Christian faith.period

  • I'm just trying to get an idea of why you think this, because it doesn't seem to be based on anything other than ideology that you can describe.

Why do you think Obama would say things just to get elected, but not McCain? What is it about how McCain says things that seems otherwise?

How do you define pride, then, if this is also an essential element of arrogance? I don't mean to harp, but I think you're trying to attach an undefinable term to a gut feeling that you can't resolve in words.

  • Yeah! And my gut feeling is that I don't want an arrogant person to lead the most powerful country in the world.I knew many arrogant people and nobody liked them. For me the personality of a leader is very important.Arrogance will do no good just bad. Most people know what I'm talking about when I mention arrogance so I hope I don't have to explain it over and over again:)

  • Yeah, I guess that means we can't have a real discussion, because you're basing your argument on an irrational gut feeling you can't describe.

I wish more people could be intellectual about such things. I think I understand what you mean by arrogance, even if you have to resort to "everyone knows what I'm talking about so I don't have to explain" but I don't see why it matters more than, say, actual policy positions, plans or understanding of what government is for and how it ought to be used.

  • My sentence w/ the gut feeling was paradoxical. My answers are very much rational.I just hate 2 repeat myself.I don't know how much is enough to explain my point.I already said that based on my experience w/ arrogant people, they think or may think that they can do things even if they couldn't.They make us believe that they are good at everything and that they could achieve anything.Obama is the same and he's got nothing to back up his statements regarding change. What change did he make so far?

  • And in the basketball question I was just generally referring to any arrogant person... The answer is that u would most probably not believe or at least u would have doubts olf his abilities because of the way he said it.Arrogant people tend to say that they can do something even if they couldn't.Plus did u know that arrogance is a vice according to Christian beliefs. What kind of a Christian is he if he is arrogant. The man is full of doubts

  • if a person black or white came up to you and said that he wanted to change the way a country is been run...

to increase social justice for both black and white, not leaving out any race while his at it...

improve the way that rest of the world thinks about it, which at the moment is very poorly...

or his opponent that is more of the same.... couldnt you try and see pass his colour...

after all one man shouldnt run a country but a government

  • Michael Moore is right. The democrats should bring out the nuclear weapons to the gunfight. I'm hoping the debates will not pull any punches. I'm hoping the people who monitor the debates will not give McCain the questions before the debates are given. Like thee farcical debate by that Evangelical. Obama stay away from ABC too! That was staged by the CEO of Disney.

  • OBAMA 08

  • if republican again: China, India, they will be really happy countries. that will be the so pathetic for america. john mccain, he will be the only posted sign board as a president, the people behind him are the same people as Bush administration.

  • I hope (as many other foreign people like me that is watching the US elections) that the Americans could listen what the rest of the world have been talking about US in the past 8 years. Please think! I don't think that obama will be much better than bush or mccain, but at least he wont do worst than these two. You americans have a chance to change don't waste it...
