    abeldanger(dot)net

  • Sounds a awful lot like highway to hell

  • @alfieandjoshie To you it might sound like highway to hell but me it is not close. But even though this song came out before highway.

  • @alfieandjoshie Good call, ACDC made a fortune stealing classic licks!

  • @alfieandjoshie alright now was made in 1970, highway to hell was made in 1979. If anything acdc stole stuff from free, so do your research before you just guess things because you wont get far in life if you're a big know it all that just guesses everything.

  • All right now, baby, it's all right now =)

  • Kossoff was the true slowhand....

  • So much of this is live, it's a rarity on TOTP and a PLEASURE.

  • I heard this in a car commercial

  • All rite , indeed !

  • Paul Rodgers is one of the top five rock vocalists of all time.

  • @LatinaLennonFan ....make it No.1, by a BIG margin...!

  • washed my hair and used alberto balsom conditioner. waxed to the core man. put FREE on the 8 track held in by a pack of matches. great tune. peel out.......lay rubber on break, ready .rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.!

  • While Rodgers went on to form Peace and Fraser founded Toby, Kossoff and Kirke teamed with bassist Tetsu Yamauchi and keyboardist John "Rabbit" Bundrick to record the album Kossoff, Kirke, Tetsu and Rabbit. When none of these new projects proved successful, the original lineup of Free re-formed to record 1972's Free at Last, which launched the hit "Little Bit of Love

  • Not quite live? Where are the ghost backing vocals coming from? And I could literally shoot the director for not having the sense to focus on Paul's magnificent guitar solo, "real" or not. A great video of a great band performing a truly great song, nonetheless.

  • he shoulda been the singer for Led Zeppelin

  • Famed for their perennial "All Right Now," Free helped lay the foundations for the rise of hard rock, stripping the earthy sound of British blues down to its raw, minimalist core to pioneer a brand of proto-metal later popularized by 1970's superstars like Foreigner, Foghat and Bad Company.

  • the look on Andy's face at 3:10

  • GREAT LOVE MAKING SONG

  • The Song feels dirty; in a good way.

  • the drummer makes very weird faces

  • gibs baby

  • THE GUITAR PLAYER IS POUL KOSSOFF WHO DIE IN 76 from drug addictions.

  • BABY ITS NOT ALL RIGHT NOW.

  • 0:16 - 0:30 Is there some other place you'd rather be? No, I'll just stare at that light in the back there until Paul's done.

  • Paul Rodgers mwah !!!!

  • Probably the best power chord riff in the history of rock music better than smoke on the water in my opinion although if course this is subjective:)

  • Carlton Banks and Jason Sadeikus at 2:58

  • I love how you have to look really hard to tell the audience gender.

  • not actually live

  • You can tell by the way Kossoff plays that he is a Clapton fan and alumni: the triplets , the vibrato, the Les Paul. Another tragic early loss, indeed.

  • cool Band

  • The riff is faboulous !

  • What a band ! What a singer ! What a riff ! Timeless.

  • Paul Rodgers, the best lead vocalist I ever heard I would swear. The perfect popular song. Paul Kossoff on guitar presumably. Nice playing.

  • whenever I hear this song I think of Kevin Spacey as Lester in his car in American Beauty

  • Russel brand??

  • love it

  • Girls were so good looking and sexy back then!

  • It's still alright!

  • Sexy as!!

  • Just everything about this song is total class!!!

  • Always one of my favourites.

  • Brilliant

  • the best fucking song of all time!!!!!!!!!!

  • 3:56 of rock glory, done live with no gimmicks, just talent & balls....this is the kind of stuff that got me playing guitar way back when.....gotta love it!!!!

  • @rockn0329 WHAT!

  • @rockn0329 ditto/drums.....and many more

  • Stanford's band does this really well.

  • I would KILL for that Les Paul.. Seriously.. I would Murder for that guitar!!!

  • @sngncwby OK, you have that and I'll have Rory's Strat....deal?

Two of the best guitar owners and players in the World!

  • @sngncwby Maybe you didnt get the memo but guitar isnt allowed in maximum security prisons.

  • paul kossof + a les paul = heaven

  • thanks guys :)

  • Guys, guys, I gotta have ;;;;;; MORE COWBELL!!

  • One of the Best Rock N Roll voices of all time!!! Love you, Paul! <3

  • 2:00

The bass line is solid as steel

and sounds like hot poop, in a good way!

  • @jamirosmajicrocks grippin

  • @jamirosmajicrocks - Original bass player was Andy Pyle - brilliant player. Up there with Chris Squire - "Yes" as a musician's musician. Notice bass doesn't come in until the chorus/refrain at 1:46. Very inovative.

  • @Georgie2047 never noticed that, indeed very innovative!

  • @jamirosmajicrocks I agree about the bass line, but I didn't no poop had a sound, thought just a smell. :) But, could be a good smelling poop! :)

  • Bass Player = deer in the headlights

  • @jamo387 he's like 10 years younger than the rest of them, wrote the song, and rocked the shit out of that solo, so not sure at which point he looked particularly intimidated

  • Long live Paul Rodgers!! !m! >_< !m!

  • I hate that jumpy bass. It's a shame. It's a great song.

  • I can't sleep anymore...

  • gotta love that bass groove

  • Let's unbutton those tighty whitey jean's and see what his junk is..

  • Therew always idiots around...27 of them are right here!

  • WERNER!

  • 27 people are not RIGHT!!!!! :)~

  • When you've said 70s, you've said hair and lots of it.

  • Great

  • They don't call him the voice for no reason.

  • wish I could touch 'em

  • i can see his balls.

  • the greatness of when sex and rock and roll ruled

  • @lordgodkingbufu I must of missed something what do you mean? When did it stop?

  • free and easy like the music of the 70 greaaaaaaaaaaaat

  • what a fuckin voice such talent....

  • ベースが水嶋ヒロに似とる

  • 0:06 Lol really unenthusiastic fans

  • bass player looked like shane botwin there for a minute

  • Rodgers is one cool looking mofo.

  • Rodgers seems to send therse puzzled looks to his left.

Perhaps Fraser's thousand yard stare and wild gurning indicate a DRUG.

  • 2:57 that women seems super stoned!

  • @coal1987 hahaha ya she's cooked

  • cream floats to the top and this is definitely cream

  • Paul whith Queen the maximun!"""

  • I'm so sickin' tired of listening wonderful songs like this one in tampon and sanitary pad commercials!

  • the best band ever and the best guitar player. such a waste

  • to me the lead singer looks like a mix of bon scott an that guy from sunny in Philadelphia

  • holy spit monkies , my brain is sayin will smith barrowed from this track.

  • @lincoln2ish Got me there! Call it a draw (1-1)?

  • @lincoln2ish Dunno the voice of Paul Rogers. But I guess not even he can compete to Paul Rodgers of FREE and Bad Company. Cheers

  • @lincoln2ish Dunno the voice of Paul Rogers. But I guess not even he can compete to Paul Rodgers of FREE and Bad Company. Cheers

  • Paul Rogers had and still has the best voice in rock and blues. Paul was the epitome of rocking blues and in the four members of Free, we had an incendiary mix of talent, the like of which we will never see again. The incomparable Paul Kossoff, the unique Andy Fraser and Simon Kirke's intuitive drumming - Andy F was only 15 at the time he joined Free FFS!!! I was privileged to see them three times and still have some little square photo's taken on my Instamatic! Those were the days....!

  • @alimcadam well..that just about wraps it up for me...can't make a better post then that....way to go alicadam...

  • My most favorite song of all time.. I can remember exactly where I was, how old I was and what I was doing when I heard the first few notes of this song. 27 down votes? You dumb sob's don't know music.

  • Love that WHITE music! Rock on.

  • AND AT 2.0 THE BASS PLAYER LANDS BACK DOWN ON EARTH !! - LOL! - :)

  • What a fucking song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @polecat119 No shit vatho thedrummer is gearin it down (below obversation to anyone who dont know) back home to the bass so we can be aware of that magnificiant space in time which the lead exploits with bone chilling accuracy BULLET TO THE BONE huh?

  • its an opinion. but Rogers had the best live voice of all time. Black vocal riffs coming from a white guy, flawless falsetto transition, maintained vocal strength and a slightly rough tone. absolutely perfect.

  • @AllKnowingRocker He was/is one of the greatest white soul/blues singers ever. Totally overlooked. FREE, what a mighty mighty band....A

  • @AllKnowingRocker while I do agree that his voice is amaziing, I think Freddie Mercury had the best live voice, but like you, that is just an opinion

  • Comment removed

  • @AllKnowingRocker In human words that means.. He ROCKS THE FUCK OUT!!!

  • @AllKnowingRocker freddie mercury would be mine greatest frontman of all time, this is great though

  • Ive done a cover of this check it out

  • Merci!

  • einfach genieal!

  • 26 dislikes? Obviously these poor people suffer some sort of Dain Bramage. Its actually LIVE and Rodgers sings it with more soul than on the record. WOW! THANKS for posting this, spopehtfopotsyggiw. WAY to GO. I can remember the shear joy i felt when i caught this song on my AM radio. Went out got the single, found out later it had gone to number ONE! (yup i am that old) And I played and sang this in every bar band I ever played in and it never failed to get people on the dance floor!

  • Best rock singer of them all !!!

  • Great music me and the wife rocked to this at the school disco in the last year at school, her boyfriend at the time wasent to impressed, Yes i came out on top, thats what happens when two people like great music, that was 1970 and we still like a little jig to it when we here it on the radio.

  • such a simple riff, yet so catchy.

  • I'm pretty sure this song is in a bunch of movies. :D

  • the lyrics seem so raunchy when your high

  • alll right now

  • agree with petemcclelland100

  • Free was the shit too

  • muito legal ^^

  • Looks like mimed performance especially the drumming. I think the singers mic is working though, is this from countdown?

  • @tekNiqueAU Hi , from Top of The Pops a UK institution in its day. Paul is singing live to a mix of the original single you can just hear in the backgrounf original vocal.

  • Fancy that. 26 retards on the internet.

  • yes your age is important

  • ALLRIGHT NOW AND FOREVER

  • Attention Drummers/musicians!!! Get the book "realistic rock" by Carmine Appice!! If you like 60's-70's rock drumming it's the Bible. It turned my hopeless brother into a real rock guy. He would work on it every day and half way through the book and after learning the first Zeppelin record beat for beat he would go back to the jams and sound exactly like Simon Kirk of Free and Bad Company...with bonham fills to boot. It could save rock drumming im serious. Amazon.com

  • Могучая песня!

  • superb so loose and easy.

  • Paul Kossoff always had the nicest les pauls

  • PAUL KOSSOFF... LEGEND

    end of.

  • I don't mean to focus too much on race, but I had always assumed this song was sung by an African-American dude. Interesting.

  • Also Great guitarists! But Hendrix got a different playing style! Rossington, clapton, kossoff got the same playing style.

  • This is a great rock vocal from Paul Rodgers.
