Still not sure what the app actually does. I never came across a mobile device that didn't allow charge you to charge it through the USB-port by itself....

Android, Windows Phone 7, Windows Mobile, Symbian all ask whether you just want a data-connection, charge the device or both.

Ok, I don't own a tablet, nor an Apple device. Are Android 3.0/4.0 and iOS different in this respect?

u rly can charge at any computer with usb port.. this app is rly rly free of sense. usb always has about 5V.. A doesnt rly matter.. as more as faster it loads..

As Linus clearly says, all PCs do not natively allow you to charge your devices because USBs cannot output enough voltage to charge your tablets. (ONLY TABLETS)

Thats what this app is for though, it allows it by cranking up the output voltage.

@ghajaanan ALL usb ports on ANY motherboard can charge ANY device that can be charged from an usb port. why? simple, all motherboards have 5V on any of the usb ports, you don't need special motherboards. i can charge my iphone just fine from my gigabyte mobo and i could charge it from a very old ASUS mobo.

I just love actual high powered USB ports. So versatile especially when you attach a hub. Turns out, the macbook pro (just pointing it out, dont yell at me for this) is also high powered USB even though it dosent mention it (used a hub to charge an ipad and hook up to WD passport). Gigabyte has the best high powered USBs IMO.

i have an Hiphone (fake iphone, if you dont know that) and it takes 6 or more hours to get full reload. Now when i charge in the USB port of my computer it takes about 1-2 hours. But if i listen to music on my "iphone" very often, i will need to recharge it every fuckin day. Thats one of the main reasons to NOT BUY A FAKE IPHONE. Mine costs 100euros and im not even a bit happy with it.
