  • I just bought a 09 unlimited x. Can i go off-roading here stock, and what are there any requirements. What other places in NJ are there to go off road.

  • Stock Jeep should make through most of the stuff there. As for the requirements, i would suggest to at least have front and rear tow hooks. If you have a trailer hitch in the back, you can get a D-shackle adapter for it.

  • Thanks for the response. I do have a hitch in the back but i do not have tow hooks and only have plastic bumpers, any suggestions.

  • You should have the tow hook in the back. You could get a D ring to connect to the trailer hitch. Even though you have the stock bumpers you can add the tow hooks to the front if you dont' have them. They are about $75 at the jeep dealer but check online. You have to cut the bumper a bit to make them fit but they are welllllll. worth it.

  • all that really matters is that you have a shackles so you can get pulled out, and at least all terrain tires. Tires do more than you think. I have seen plenty of 2wd trucks with good off road tires get through tougher stuff than 4wd with street tires.

  • what size lift and tires is that i think its black maybe green tj runnin?

  • Sweet vid, I'm a new wrangler owner, what kinda lift and tires to you guys put on your stuff...i could use the tips thanx
