Actually the "Let them eat cake" statement actually was a huge insult. "Cake" back then was the lowest of the low flour, horrible flour. If people ate "Cake" they typically got sick and could not work for a week if they even survived. So the let them eat cake statement was her saying "I dont care about them, they can eat the shit pigs eat for all I care."
