I had no idea the extent of how bad it was in Poland post WWII. It's strange to think of a world so different of what we know here in America. Such restrictions on living, and everyday freedoms that we take for granted everyday. It's impossible for me to even imagine what it must if been like, compared to what i'm used to.

Poland benefited enormously from Communism. Reform was not needed because Perestroika happened unnaturally, the glorious regime was infiltrated by Capitalism. Free education for all, free healthcare for all, guaranteed employment, guaranteed housing, shared wealth with Russia and a far more equal and advance society, this was when Poland was at its best. You have no idea of the benefits communism had in Poland and its popular support before people were brainwashed by the Yankees.

Communism doesn't tolerate other political parties? Than how come Brazil, Nepal, Cyprus, and Moldova have the Communist party in power where they follow a Democratic system. Perhaps you should learn a little about Marxist-Leninism and Trotskism, because those two ideologies follow your idea of Democracy.

Yugoslavia was a Communist state.People in Yugoslavia, in the 1980s, were the happiest people in the world. My country tried to be Communist, but America helped our corrupt king. 50,000 Greeks were killed.

If you look at the Soviet Union, in the 1970s, it had the best education, best health care system, best public services, best scientific bases, best military, 1st/2nd best phone services, and much more.

The bad your speaking of only happened after Gorbachev became the leader after 1986.

In Communism, there is no such thing as property. The society shares everything, and although that wasn't totally the case in the USSR, it was typically like that. The government would also give FREE housing to citizens.

The USSR was no more of a Police State than the UK or US.

There is no such thing as poor in Communism, because that suggests that someone is better than someone else.

Gulags were just prisons...

Mao and Polpot were freedom fighters.
