  • @twoolman42 OK is not the same as TX, hahaha oklahaoma is like texas' younger sibling. OK thinks they are the same a really close, and TX hates when mom makes it take him with him when he goes out ......embarassing

  • what is an oklahoma breakdown?

  • Stoney LuRue sounds just as good in concert as he does in his studio recordings, alot of artist cannot say that !!

  • so much hate lol

  • This is my cousin!!

  • something good finally comes from that sh*thole known as OK

  • Alright Chaps. Let's all have a hug. Thumbs up for Red Dirt over Hip-Hop! Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, wherethefuckever. Stop the hate. Rock out guys.

  • The guys way before their time that started the Red Dirt Scene / Texas Country are straight out of Stillwater. The Great Divide

  • hes from taft texas

  • @christheslyone actually, this song was created in Norman. How much does that piss you off?

    Boomer Sooner.

  • Go Oklahoma!!! Official home of Red Dirt Country. Founded in Stillwater, Ok aka "Lil Austin".

  • Stoney is from Oklahoma. Red Dirt music is way better than Texas Cuntry

  • In the great Bob Wills Dance Hall that was sold to Earl Ray! Now don't that just kick ass.

  • FUCK. THIS. GUY. Do yourself a favor and listen to some Hosty. If your not from Oklahoma your not allowed to cover this song.

  • Red Dirt includes Texas music geniuses. However...this is pure Oklahoma and I dig it!

  • hosty wrote a great song...but noone can sing it better than Stoney

  • Can someone Please post the "feet dont touch the ground" Live at Billy Bobs Version.

Its the best one and I cant find it on YouTube. Anyone??????

  • Ryan Bingham's bassist says " i'll go anywhere and play,... Except Oklahomo"

  • I talked to his booking agent about doing a show for my company...lol the rider was awesome.. among other things he requires a bottle of jack, jager, vodka, case of rebulls, vegitable tray, lol the list goes on and on and on.. not as bad a Cross Canadian though.. cody wants a 6ft mirror and all types of stuff in his dressing room.. haha f'n rockstars

  • @thebrambo123 like jeremy says Hey,man, when we play with stoney were just barley hangin on,man.

  • he may not have wrote it but he can damn sure sing it. and some of the women from are pretty but other than that there aint nothing shit talkers from oklahoma

  • he may not have wrote it but he can damn sure sing it.

  • The only thing different from Texas and Oklahoma is National Championships which the colleges in The Great State of Oklahoma are beating the poor colleges in Texas in.

  • @Mson24 Haha. what about super bowl victories? Not only do you 'faggots down in Norman have a kinky streak and roll your joints all wrong (Cody Canada's words), you pussies also dont even have an NFL team. Please stop comparing TX and OK people...Ok simply has nothing to offer except skinny joints and kinky faggots.

  • @shadysoldier84 You sound like a man of experience when it comes to "kinky faggots"...

  • The hell yeah needs to go to HOSTY DUO because he wrote the song. Hate to burst your bubble but stoney didnt write this just like most of his other songs.

  • Very Very Cool Song AND singer!

  • only thing worth a damn from Oklahoma was Mike Mcclure

  • @levikeenom1 There's that white guy that's tearing up the NBA right now... I think his name is Griffin.

  • It don't really matter where everybody thinks Stoney is from...He teases me about being from Oklahoma and claims Texas.

  • It don't really matter where everybody thinks Stoney is from...He teases me about being from Oklahoma and claims Texas.

  • Who gives a fuck where he's from??...the fucking music is great?

  • Who cares where he's from?! Born in Texas, raised in Oklahoma. Both states can claim him. I have lived in both states and they are basically the same state, with Oklahoma just on a smaller scale and less people. I love both and wouldn't live anywhere else. It's because of two schools and their football rivalry. That's why people fight. It has nothing to do with great music like this.

  • remember wonton (soup..lol). jk

  • first of all dude stoney is from Edmond, OKLAHOMA

  • Hell yea.

  • OK sucks ASS!!!! Can't even get a decent beer over there!!!! Poor white trash and Injuns that can't hold their liquor. If you like Poverty, you'll LOVE OK !!!!

  • @dltnellis saying oklahoma is nothing but white trash and indians is just like saying texas is nothing but rednecks and mexicans. i have lived in both states for about equal amounts of time. they are basically the same state.

  • This song is great. It's got a rythym like Jimmy Jones Band - Senorita

  • Even though I am a 'Yankee' from Wisconsin I believe that the southern style "country rock" is in a league of it's own. Absolutely can never get enough of him.

  • BOOMER SOONER!!

  • OKLAHOMA ROCKS THE HOUSE ..... thats why the song is named "Oklahoma Breakdown" ...................... FU all Texas people ...... Oklahoma is better than texas ...... lmao

  • @kittykatt1250 there aint nothing good about oklahoma texas is the place thats why oklahoma needs a breakdown

  • @christheslyone too bad you okies roll your joints all wrong

  • @christheslyone Yet, this video was recorded at Billy Bobs, TEXAS!

  • @shadysoldier84 omg shut the fuck up like he is only going to play in oklahoma

  • @christheslyone fuck red dirt

  • @MisterTenNine

yeah if i were you id stay away, thise daisy dukes and cowboy boots are awful,, country music doesnt need guitar, pr heavy bass, or cross over fans that get people recognized instead of going to Nashville and wilting on the proverbial vine of record company rejects. wise up and enjoy or dont listen. we dont tell you that george straight sux .this aint your daddys country music but it is closer than you think dont hate just tune out and miss it leaves mr a seat at the show

  • @christheslyone Your from Hugo? Thats cool, it used to be my home town.

  • nashville sux

  • love this song and im from austin texas glad he is from texas too

  • Comment removed

  • He's an awesome singer.

  • here's a couple videos of Stoney LaRue

  • as an okie im proud us and texas still have good music. who gives a shit tx or ok least its not nashville

  • Like it makes a shit where hezz from JUST DAMN GOOD MUSIC thats all that matters

  • Who cares where he was born, or where he was raised? There really aint that much of a difference between Texas and Oklahoma. We are both states that still love, and live that country life that others have abandoned. Aside from the Longhorns/Sooners rivalry (which should just be in good fun), our two states have more in common than we do with any other states, IMO. Stoney, like many other Texas country/Red Dirt artists, has no problem representing both states, and they do it well.

  • The great(true oklahoman) band Hosty Duo write a great song and no one knows him. Stoney steals it and it gets 226,000+ views?

  • @AielSavage I agree that the Hosty Duo is great.

But Stoney didn't steal it. Trust me, I know Mike Hosty(was my songwriting instructor) I'm pretty certain he still owns the rights to this song and gets paid royaties for it.

  • I guess it really doesn't matter where he's from. Anyone can like his music. And, this particular song happens to be about Oklahoma. "Okies" love his music. And, he has lived in Oklahoma too. Stupid Texans. Just because you are born in one place doesn't make it your home. "HOME IS WHERE YOU MAKE IT" lmfao..He was RAISED in Oklahoma jackass. Have a nice day.

  • @abfraw310 Home's not where you were born... At least I hope not, otherwise, the place I grew up has to claim Dwight Yoakam. Please, God, say it ain't so. LOL

  • went 2 thier concert today. it was awesome

  • texas born texas proud

  • Fucking love this song!! Juiced up at the river bed tonight

  • This song is soo Great ( :

  • Anyone from oklahoma going to his concert at the Casino? jw

  • OKIES CAN'T HAVE OUR STONEY!!!!! <3

  • look im from texas and i love my state.

but if Stoney is from texas why is he singin about oklahoma?

  • @wilsuf hehe he was only born in TX, he moved to OK & lived there most his life, and does most of his writing in OK. (I'm texan too!)

  • I dont know what to say, but this is an awesome song

  • he may be able to sing it, but HOSTY is the brains behind it.

  • Hosty does it better.

  • he didnt name the song guys sorry..it was hosty check him out hes pretty talented

  • texas is so great ..he named the song " oklahoma" breakdown ! ahahaha

  • love love love stoney larue!!! my man and I crank this music at every get together and jam while driving!! would love to see them in concert!!!

  • doubt it

  • My buddy told me about this Texas music in basic training. Its bad ass I need to check out billy bob's sometime I hear its always a party.

  • @pantera1012000, stoney larue is from oklahoma

  • @wcwilliam7 I figured that but isn't it still "Texas music"? I was told its a genre of music, I may be misinformed.

  • yeah you are right really,, we always call it red dirt, but i guess the genere is red dirt/texas, same thing

  • @pantera1012000 you need to hear dimebag by ragweed youll love it considering your name.

  • Comment removed

  • @pantera1012000

you do need to listen to Dimebag:)

  • @pantera1012000 understatement.....when there is a good show its fucking awesome!!! highly recommend it.

  • So who stole this song? Stoney? or Hosty?

  • smith music group does most cd/dvd recordings for artists performing at billy bobs. so no one stole it.

  • @RockChalk80 Hosty wrote it. Stoney stole it.

  • You got that right Rebelyell01 - Hell yeah Baby!!

  • Good vibe, good singer, engaging toward the audience, good slide leads and fills

but lose the cigarette. Yeah, Yeah, I know but ask Gary Rossington about the cig in your pick hand all night playing rock and roll for over thirty years

    and then

ask Gary about his heart disease.

  • my husband always sings me this song before he leaves to go on another pipelining job!

  • I wish I was rootin round the river bed tonite! Yee Haw!!!!

  • i loved seeing stoney live. me and a really handsome cowboy danced to this song at stoney's party in the pines. :]

  • That shit is sick!

  • I freakin love this tune, Gives me hope for the future!!!

Thanks from the Great state of TEXAS!!

  • i have to use this crap on a wedding video....does anyone know if this song is available on a studio album? only finding live recordings on itunes and amazon....

  • Man, What are you calling crap? You must be a yankee or a dumbass! Which is it?

  • HEY!!! im a yankee! born but raised country all my life so not all yankees are the same so he must be a dumbass t

  • I hear ya. I have nothin at all against my northern bro.s But it pisses them off.

You are right ,Must be a dumbass!

  • born in taft texas, raised in good ole southern oklahoma

  • stinkin' okies trying to claim Stoney, but he's born in Taft, Texas. (im probably gonna receive a lot of thumbs down for this one)

  • thumbs up

  • @shaggyrogers01 Im an Okie, and I was at this show. I call a truce.

  • @JTtheLAR - truce accepted lol. lets just agree that they're all from the Red River

  • @shaggyrogers01 Well he sings about Oklahoma not Texas

  • @JuicyLPN ...or he sings about both. Texas moon is a great song! Oklahoma breakdown is awesome too, so chill.

  • @shaggyrogers01 thumbs down hell, hes a texas man and thats how it goes!

  • @shaggyrogers01 yea he may of been born a texan (horns down) but he was raised an okie!

  • @shaggyrogers01 thats my hometown im one of the very few white people left in taft!

  • @shaggyrogers01

No thumbs down. Being born in a place and being raised/living your formative years in a place are different. Stony was born in Texas, but spent nearly his entire childhood, adolescence, and young adult years in Oklahoma before moving back to Texas. I think both states can claim him.

  • hey did i meet you canoeing in noel a few years back? you were living in kc then,

  • omg this is my all time favorite song....just proves once again why TEXAS is the BEST state EVER!!!!

  • how does this prove that?

  • cause he was born in texas and his music rocks.... you must not be from texas

  • Born in texas raised in Oklahoma. And no, not from texas.

  • p.s. If you ever get a chance to see Hosty play, jump on it... He's a great guitarist and very original, you'll hear alot more of those catchy slide riffs

  • This is a great COVER. Credit to Stoney's Vocals.... Mike Hosty needs more credit for this great song that he wrote... "Feet Don't Touch the Ground" should also be credited to Brandon Jenkins

  • Don't know about Hosty, but LaRue WAS born in Taft, Texas. Moved to Oklahoma when young. But just to be clear, look at his line up and realize where he plays more. A true Texan always comes home. That's Stoney...

  • this son of a gun's a toe tapper.but i cant help but think of another song from a black rock group back in 89' that performed a song sounding similar to this.i forgot the bands name and what the song was called though...

  • Don't mistake big 12 football for music. No comparison. Nothin against Okies. We wear it the fuck down in The great state of TEXAS..........This song is rockin. Loved it from the first time I heard it. You know a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then.

  • AWESOME!!

  • Billy Bob's Fort Worth Texas. My home town and Proud of it. Stock Yards has the best country music Bars. PR'S, Rodeo Exchange, Filthy McNasty's, Cadillacs, BILLY BOB'S!!! Hell of a party. THE GIRLS, OMG! The Shit.

  • WHO gives a damn that they smoke on stage???? R U KIDDIN' ME... It's about the GREAT music that these guys are puttin' out!!! NASHVILLE SUCKS!!!!! ROCK ON STONEY!!!!

  • Great job homeboy!

  • Oy! I've been to your Oklahoma and your Texas.

I prefer Texas. Oklahoma seemed a bit troubled with itself. It didn't have the pride nor zest for life as Texans do.

In fact, if I ever moved to America, I'd move to Texas. Probably Austin or Hill Country. I know a girl in New Braunfels that I wouldn't mind seeing again. She's French Canadian... but don't hold that against her, mate!

  • its funny that all the good music in texas right now comes from oklahoma...

  • dumbass hes form fort worth

  • The song was written by Mike Hosty, he's a Norman product

  • Randy Rogers is still pumping out great tunes right from the hill country

  • Haven't seen Stoney in years. Cool to see that he's covering Hosty these days. Great song.

  • Texas Boyz do it better than n e 1 fuk whoever dont like that...............

  • Im a OU fan

but TEXAS is THE BEST state

  • are you on crack???

  • yeah, I do it all the time!

  • lol, im an Oklahoman woman....and We like our MEN to be NOTHING but Oklahoma men....you couldn't handle a damn oklahoma woman even if she TRIED to come down to your "texas" ass level!

ps. i have no problem with texas or the people there....just the cocky assholes who think their shit dont stink.

  • Switch around Texas and Oklahoma, maybe you have something that makes sense...

  • He's right, Oklahoma women will fuck anything that moves. (or that will take them back to Texas with them) LOL

  • either or i need to hang out in oklahoma more.

  • LOL

  • Mike Hosty does this so much better, but I guess he should. He wrote it.

  • i think its for the both of us the Red River has a bank on both sides so there is red dirt in Texas too

  • Actually, red dirt is from Stillwater, OK not TX. Nice try!

  • western oklahoma

  • This song is Awesome

  • it called red dirt

  • Comment removed

  • I love this kind of music WAAYyy better than that hip hop crap, or nashville country, ONLY TEXAS COUNTRY BABY!!!

  • dang ol' Texas country...its the shit!!!
