With such a wide diversity of style, it is almost impossible to like all of their material the same amount (and not dislike anything). Blood Sugar Sex Magik is the most critically acclaimed album. You could pretty much argue any album after the first one is their best work, all depends on what you like and what you heard first

After Blood Sugar Sex Magik, everything went downhill. Californication is still good and a few later songs are passable, but it all pales in comparison to BSSM and Uplift Mofo Party Plan.
