Also, the strain of R haplogroup that was found in Camaroon was R-V88, this is a totally different strain of R haplogroup found in King Tut. The Strain found in King Tut, was the same type found in Western Europe R1b1b. King Tut was of Caucasian DNA.

First I want to say this comment is not about "race" just genetics. Some studies have shown Kenyan with R haplogroup marker. If anything I would say that Greeks would be a better source but their markers are G for the most part. Yet Greeks can cluster with Ethiopians. Another question would be linguistically and archeological pottery samples of the Caucasus.

R1b is Western European Caucasian. No argument can top DNA test results. Hawass didn't say it, it was leaked by his team.

The strain in ancient Egypt was R1b1b M269, which is the EXACT strain of Western Europe, particularly Celtiberian, which further evolved in North Africa.

There was just some some DNA tests done on King Tut's body and it came back haplogroup R1b which is Western European Caucasian. DNA is the truth. Google it.

@IslenoGutierrez that is not always true. The R haplogroup can also be found in Cameroon and parts of Chad. There really has not been any evidence to state Ancient Egyptians were not from a local origin. I'm not saying that Egyptians were so called "black". "Black" is social cultural term that most ancient African ethnic groups probably never used. Egyptians were not African Americans. 8p Even Dr. Hawass said that this wasn't necessarily accurate of from the DNA was tested.

@osiruskat This was an accurate and real DNA test done on the mummies. They are not going to do a bullshit test on Egyptian mummies that are thousands of years old. Hawass said nothing of the sort. Also, the strain of R haplogroup that was found in Camaroon was R-V88, this is a totally different strain of R haplogroup found in King Tut. The Strain found in King Tut, was the same type found in Western Europe R1b1b. King Tut was of Caucasian DNA.

@IslenoGutierrez ok show me where Hawass has said anything concerning the DNA of ancient Egyptians. I've followed his work for years. First I want to say this comment is not about "race" just genetics. Some studies have shown Kenyan with R haplogroup marker. If anything I would say that Greeks would be a better source but their markers are G for the most part. Yet Greeks can cluster with Ethiopians. Another question would be linguistically and archeological pottery samples of the Caucasus.

@IslenoGutierrez If anything at least concerning Tut and his father, Akhenaten were Amazigh or some mix of that region in North Africa. I would also say that the Indo Aryan language of the Dom people would be related because of their history in Egypt but they arrived in the round about 6th century. Genetics are complex and indigenous Africans have very complex genetics.

@osiruskat The DNA test results put to rest all opinions about who people think the Egyptians were. The genetic markers in Tut's mummified remains were R1b1b, and on top of that it was 99.6 percent. R1b1b are not found in any of the Sub-Saharan African populations. The R-V88 found in Camaroon and Chad is not the same as R1b1b. Amazighs haplogroups are haplogroup E and U6. R1b is Western European Caucasian. No argument can top DNA test results. Hawass didn't say it, it was leaked by his team.

@IslenoGutierrez please cite your evidence from his team. Again if all ancient Egyptians are from R1b1 how come it doesn't reflect it in the Afroasiatic language? Cameroon and Chad are still R1b1 just from a different familial branch. I'm not Egyptians were from Chad but linguistically they have more in common than someone from Norway or Spain. By the way Amazigh Berbers who are U6 are mainly in Morocco not Tunisia, Libya or Algeria. Haplogroup E has an North/East African origin.

@osiruskat Hawass allowed the testing to be filmed. The results were taken from the film. Hawass denied to release the results for fear of the consequences of the DNA finding, but he slipped up when he allowed film crews to film the testing and the camera waved over a printout with the STR sequences on it. When the sequences were copied and calculated the result came back R1b1b-M269 which is common to Western European Caucasian. The R1b strain that is found in Camaroon and Chad is R1b1a-RV88.

I have watched many programs on Egyptian mummies like Tut but they only showed what is face would look like today. I could accept Greek origin but there isn't a R marker for them. So where in Western Europe? Was this an autosomal DNA test?

@osiruskat R1b originates in West Eurasia, Caucus area. R1b is most closely associated with Western Europe. The strain that made it to ancient Egypt was the R1b1b strain, while the strain that made it to Camaroon and Chad was a different strain of R1b1a, although both are from the same non-African haplogroup, they are 2 different strains. The strain in ancient Egypt was R1b1b M269, which is the EXACT strain of Western Europe, particularly Celtiberian, which further evolved in North Africa.

It is true that M269 is highly seem in the Celts (Welsh,Spaniards, and Irish) but you gotta remember the Celts in Iberia were for the lack of a better word savages (I liked them because they were fearless) but the "Celtiberian" evolved in Iberia...They may have came a relationship with the Amazigh but by a minor degree. I never said that Cameroon and Chad were Egyptians but are closer to them at least linguistically.

@osiruskat The arrival of R1b1b to North Africa from Europe seems to be the actual truth according to King Tut's DNA test result. The drawings of ancient Egyptians were of a tanned type, much like Mediterranean Whites and Arabs. The climate has alot to do with facial features and skin color. The hot sunny climate of North Africa attributed to the natural tanned skin color of the ancient Egyptians. It seems that the R1b1b evolved further to become North African Caucosoid. The San people evolved from a very hot desert setting yet there skin is a lighter red variation.Caucasoid is just a old term for a facial structure. I've people from Sierra Leone who are very dark with Caucasoid features. I've seen fair skin people with very "Negroid" features.Skin color can flip.In Nigeria, I've seen very fair skin kids from dark parents

@alvindlee1 African phenotypes are very diverse. What are the typical African features? When looking at the so called "caucasoid" people, some Greeks cluster with some Africans. I''ve met people from the Balkans that have some so called "black" features (nose shape and full lips). I've mistaken many southern Italians to being "black". Southern Italians have around 2% or less African dna. We could isolate Southern African pop. and we could still find variations of facial types and color.

I didn't make this up, it was actually done. I'll be the first one say that a civilization is a Black African one if there is DNA proof of Black African DNA, but that is not what happened. There is scientific proof that the ancient Egyptians are of Caucasian DNA. That is hard evidence.

You CAN'T prove that the ancient Egyptians were Black, so you try to discredit the people and methods who achieved the ACCURATE HARD EVIDENCE about the race of the ancient Egyptians. The reason Zahi Hawass got on public record stating that Blacks had nothing to do with ancient Egypt is because that is the truth. I know you can't handle it.

@kwilly54 Also, Mediterranean Caucasians have natural tans. If the ancient Egyptians lived in the very hot and sunny climate of Egypt, they would develop nice tans. Now depending on how long they've been there, there skin could of evolved to become naturally tan like the Mediterranean Caucasians and Arabs. Clearly the pictures show a golden tanned people. There are pictures of Black Africans as slaves and you can clearly distinguish the Black and the Egyptian. Ancient Egypt was NOT Black.

@kwilly54 Just wanted to add another thing, although life started in Africa, it doesn't mean all people came from Black Africans. It is believed that we evolved from primates, so naturally primates are in Africa. That does not mean we all come from Black Africans, it means we all come from African primates. If you look at pictures of the oldest human skull found in Ethiopia it highly resembles an Apes skull. Also, just because it came from Africa, it doesnt mean they were Black.
