A classic Gospel song and a classic job singing it Sherrill. Brings tears to this ole Mississippi boys eyes every time i hear it and i mean EVERY TIME !!!!I think of a lot of PRECIOUS MEMORIES i have and just couple weeks ago i got the chance to drive by my ole home place havent seen in about 40 years BUT OOOOO WHAT some precious memories ......... THANKS for sharing this classic song
@Midnightryder3 I'm so glad you got to go back and drive by your ole home place. I still live about 6 miles from where I was born and raised. I sang this in the church I joined at 13 in 1962. I was redicated there in 1996. My mom and dad along with one sister are burried outside just as I will be one day. May God bless you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from another Mississippi boy!
I have always loved this song. The first time I heard it was on an album by the Haven of Rest quartet. Did you ever listen to that old radio show, "The Haven of Rest"? Well, that's neither here nor there. I love the song and I love your version very much.
The idea of taking a favorite video on one's own channel is: one wants to listen again... This song is so beautiful, so lovely, and here is **********
All of these are great downloaded to my ipod need more sherrill wallace music. I hate we aren't having Brookstock maybe next year...keep the music coming!
Very moving! I can't tell you how many times I've heard this in my lifetime....it's such a great standard which carries a lot of feeling! You did a wonderful job!!
Sang this song with a small makeshift quire at my dads funeral 4 years ago. Thanks for posting you have a wonderful singing voice and some pretty good talent to go right along with it. However, from a guitar collectors perspective, What a " Taylor KILLER GUITAR", you're strummin' there bro.
