  • Yeah I worked there for a summer in 08 and I'm pretty sure that it got stuck more than 5 times but on the first big incline before going under.

  • @19lotuselise82 There is no big incline aside from the lift hill before going under, that is the first drop.

  • haha lol i got on that dis uyear and i cried...!1

  • They're probably saying What da Fuck?

  • i have gotten stuck on hades many times but never right before a drop. It's still the best wooden roller coaster in the world i think

  • Every coaster with a lift hill has anti rollbacks.

    Get your facts right peoples.

  • did the anti roll back brakes malfunction and thats why that happened or was it just a coincidence of wind and train weight?

  • why didnt it rollback?

  • @MCfilms13 Because on all wooden roller coaster at the top of all the peaks there is an anit rool back system, due to the way wooden coasters are built.

  • @ryansjokes Now.... when you say PEAKS, you mean LIFT HILLS, right...? o_O

  • @MCfilms13 They have a safety system close to the crest of every hill on almost every wooden coaster (and some steel ones) to prevent it from rolling back. You know that clicking sound that you hear when your going up a chain lift? Thats the safety system.

  • @MCfilms13 It has anti-rollbacks. That's the clanking sound you hear when going up the lift hill. Those things are all over, but you almost only hear then on the lift hill. Some coasters don't use these though, like kingda-ka (imagine trying to get those people out!)

  • @supercool97 yeah and the rollbacks on kingda ka/top thrill dragster are awesome!

  • This happened again last summer, after my friends and I got off the next batch of people got stuck at the top right before the first big drop.

  • Fat guy in the back seat hosed the bunch.

  • 0:52 LOL!

  • no wonder they made the hill shorter then my last visit

  • Wow, those people must be light as a feather for it to just stop like that!

  • LOL when everyone still has their hands in the air even though they were stuck for like 3 seconds...

  • thats shocking that it didnt roll back I mean like half the train is on the other side

  • @hillbilly751 That's because there's an anti-rollback feature in place.

  • Time to lean forward!

  • 0:41 'put that in your plate and smoke it' XD

  • hahahaha dude in the front sit looks around like wtf is this part of the ride hahahaha

  • the people in the first car have their hands up and once it stops they keep their hands up and looked around and I cracked up!

  • ahhh!

  • lmao woops! ive rode that like 100x and its never stalled before! prly just jynxed myself haha.

  • 0:54 i almost fell out of my seat i laughed so hard WTF!!!??!

  • "Put that in your pipe and smoke it" :D lol

  • i went on that ride yesterday... scary as fuck.

  • Hades got bored and wanted to scare ppls!

  • their probably thinking right now what the fuck

  • and THIS is what anti-rollbacks are for...

  • I have never been on this, is there a section of blocks there, or trims, or what?

  • @OKSIRYDOC Nevermind, it was a chain, and the anti rollbacks stoped it.

  • One of the most b-r-l-l-i-a-n-t coaster videos captured live as it happened. Its almost like you made a deal with the ride operators to ask them to "stop the coaster at the turn-around" so you could be there filming at the exact moment! One cannot get a shot like this in a Hollywood production unless they used a small hand built prop to do so. This is pure gold for a coaster {wooden} fanatic like myself. I thank you coasterzeke and I thank your camera as well. You rock,

    Rob/Boston

  • it was more of a case that yeah, I knew I was recording when I was running the camera, but then I did a lot of video clips of the people being evacuated & it wasn't until later that evening when I remembered that I was pretty sure I got the clip of when it happened.

  • Man that's an odd kinda stuck my friend wants the coaster 2 get stuck at the top XDD idk y but a rollback like this... i thought the train wud've rolled bak

  • @6flgslover I think the train as a anti-rollback system or something...Like it blocks the wheels when it starts to go backwards or something >____>

  • @sUUpErC00W oh that makes sense that's safer

  • @sUUpErC00W there are spikes on the track that mesh with spikes in the car. thats why it makes a ratcheting sound

  • @woodcoasterdude Ok, thx :-)

  • " I didn't know I was recording. " Obvisouly you did! because you would'nt be zooming in or out and talking to the camera!

  • Holy *long line of words*! That's amazing! Great video!

  • Thats So funny I wanna go on that coaster so bad!

  • Thank you, Anti-Rollbacks!

  • @RocketRodder If they would of rolled back they'd be stuck under ground...In the dark. That'd be hilarious

  • I loved that guy in the front car when they stopped.

  • It was the chain dogs that caught it.

  • This is really rare because the train caught the rollbacks NOT on the lift... there are rollbacks on certain parts of wooden rides in case the train doesnt have enough momentum, like in this video...the train might have had a bad wheel or something

  • wow, thats cool! i guess it wasnt heavy enough to keep going. no momentum :)

  • Right time, right place, smart camera work. I think you should get a job as a news reporter because you would get the story first every time.

Good reporting scoopcoasterzeke and thanks for posting it,

    Rob/Boston

  • I love your commentary BTW, lmao.

  • And I was just telling my cousin about the Anti Roll-backs yesterday while riding Grizzly and explaining that if the power were to go out or something (on the lift) then the 'saw teeth' keeps the train from falling back down.

  • Yeah it's called an anti-rollback. That's why they're there lol, to keep trains from rolling back. Nice capture by the way.

  • DANG. You got lucky capturing this, haha.

And lol at the guy in the front row with his hands up, as he casually puts them down once stuck.

  • nice catch

    i didn't notice that :P

  • I thought it was called an Anti-Roll back

  • Yes, I was trying to explain in simple terms, lol.

  • Isn't Anti-Roll back different then a chain lift though?? ^o)

    Lol

  • Catching that on camera is LUCK on your side. Nice job! Wonder what cause that to happen? Still, Hades looks like an awesome ride nonetheless and I'd like to ride it sometime.

  • I'm impressed! Wow...

  • Awesome job catching this rare event on video!
