Watch Oliver Stones's film "W", (George W. Bush), to understand the deep rooted resentment of the last 300 years of the Bushe's & McCain's empire, claiming to stand for "life, liberty, the pursuite of happiness & democracy", but ruining people's lives in USA & every were in the world. The inhumane social injustic, economic inequality & deperivation, political scandales & thoughtless military adventures they created has finally forced Americans to seek better alternative, "OBAMA'S CHANGE".
Indeed it can't ... comex will get busted, Gold & Silver will go to the moon. And the economy will go up in smoke for a while ... then the sun will come out again.
Tod, To manipulate, control, blackmail, terrorize & exploit mankind, false prophets, doomsayers & clowns like you, FOR THOUSAND OF YEARS, "predicted" the sky is falling & the end is coming.
But, "DISPROVING YOUR FALSE PROPHECIES", mankind achieved phenomenal success, building better societies, YEAR IN & YEAR OUT, out living ALL false prophets like you, making this BRAVE world a better place to live now, than a century ago.
False prophecy NEVER worked before, therefore, WHY MAKE UP ANOTHER ONE?
Just like you saw in the American election, the whole nation coming out to embrace CHANGE & electing, a simple, little known, poor black man, "YES, WE CAN" have a peaceful BETTER world & honest monetary system, when we all work together, determined & devoted FOR THE GOOD OF ALL OF US.
Hopefully soon, Australians will elect one of their Aborigines to be the Prime Minster of Australia, giving others a chance to lead & change Australia, for the better.
I guess in the deranged mentality of people like you, the best "AMERICA CAN DO" is,
1. Sending young American boys to endless, worthless & meaningless wars all over the world.
2. Forcing economic crises all over USA, making ordinary hard working Americans lose their jobs, homes, health & life insurance, life time earnings & savings,
3. Covering up & bailing out corrupt corporations like Lincoln S&L, while swindling & reaping of hard earned American tax dollars.
And seeing so many people accepting the rightist status quo as though it were a middle ground, or progressive change even, is why these kinds of critical responses need to be sustained. Obama is less hawkish, obviously. I'm saying compared to the last 8 years, who'd not achieve that status? The bar is set pretty low. Just don't put your political activism suit in the closet after election day.
Finally: I completely get why you disagreed. The crux of my response is partly touched on by Naomi, and related to your attempt at pinning me as a Naderite (which I'm definitely not, he's not aging well). I'm not involved in party politics in large part because of the advantage of not being absorbed into the swells of support they create. It allows one to stay relatively impartial and reserve the ability to call a spade a spade. Keeping the heat on Obama is extremely important after he wins.
Second - Voting to fund the war and, ironically, your response, perpetuate the idea that "the war was poorly handled and policies merely misguided". If we fund and manage it properly the war effort will "succeed". At the base of it, this stance just validates the long-held US tradition of regime change for the better of suchandsuch country and US interests (which of course only means the latter, the former being a moral bait & hook).
First - He is indeed withdrawing "combat" troops, around half of the overall force, leaving somewhere between as much or 2x more mercenaries remaining to guard personnel and those precious pipelines. Droning on about "withdrawing combat troops" is political fence-straddling, as is necessary to get support from two sides, one that hears only "withdraw troops" and the other that knows the bulk of the US presence will remain intact.
I agree with Pepe on that assertion, particularly because of Obama's vote harvesting (or preserving, depending on how you look at it) supporting the use of thousands of reckless war mercenaries, maintaining of the green zone, withdrawing "combat" forces (doesn't fool me), Yes votes on war appropriations bills, and most of all perpetuating the wild goose chase that is the War on Terror by playing to its supporters, declaring what is essentially a second "surge" into Afghanistan.
Bin Laden should also support the NeoCon movement.
NeoCon's anti-reason, pro-submission, life-after-death-is-more-important ideology not only resembles a lot that of the terrorists, but is also driving the US into backwardness, the way Islamism has done in the Middle East.
The November 1st surprise is the Palin crank call. Hilarious. Search YouTube for it. Canadian radio show host pretend to be the President of France. Hahaha!!
One source is Benazir Bhutto she said he was dead ... she was killed for it.
Second source is that the bin laden used in the videos has been changed three times ie: three different people.
And everybody knows that Osama bin laden was employed by the CIA in Afangistan.
Everybody knows that the Bush family is very closely tied to the Bin laden family ... didn't planes full of them flight out of the USA after the flase flag event on 911.
You gotta keep the myth of Bin Laden going & going
Ariji86: I agree. They should just call it what it is, a CIA operation to scare and manipulate the American people. Or they could just call it what it means in Arabic, "the base". Al-Qaeda was created by the Carter administration to bring down the Soviet system by bogging them down in Afghanistan. Now they are doing the same thing to USA so globalists can tighten their control.

I'm hoping for a better world as well ... hopefully an honest one ... without the wars and with an honest monetary system.

I think thats a great quote you have come up with.
"YES, WE CAN" have a peaceful BETTER world & honest monetary system, when we all work together, determined & devoted FOR THE GOOD OF ALL OF US.

I like what you say about an honest monetary system and working for the good of everyone, but you support Obama? Why?
